Well I took the plunge. At grand old age of 56 I bought my first big bike - pick it up on Saturday. As mentioned on other threads - I've plumped for the Suzuki GSX1250FA - yes, a Bandit! Did the mod1 on one and had four days on direct access on one - ticked all my boxes - though I admit my experience of bikes is very limited. Main thing - I am happy and like an excited teenager waiting on the weekend!

Anyway - can anyone recommend ideal chain or whatever re security? Thanks

You want an Almax or Pragmasis chain to lock your bike to a ground anchor or something equally solid.

Picked up the new bike today - drove back from Cupar to Glasgow and then spent the rest of the day on it. 150 miles on the clock - weather was fantastic. Doesn't get much better than today. Can't get the smile off my face😀 Bikes do funny things to people
The lessons - the stress - the fails - all worth it in the end

Haven't yet - going to get Almax. Bike is in a garage at home so little risk there.

Mines in a well made, well secured garage and I still use a Defiant ground anchor, Almax chain (sorry Rog) and Squire lock.
Well done on the bike though dude.

Grinds-my-gears, why is Cupar Suzuki so much cheaper than Mickey Oates, when it's way out in Hicksville?
