Great race, lots of entertainment, Virgin's/BT's episode just managed to get the whole race following the restart.

WTF was MM up to?
All he had to do, for all the remaining races, was to follow either VR or JLO round and he gets to bag the title.
But no, he goes into brain out mode, yet again, narrowly avoiding taking himself and a couple of others out. He may have skills but he does himself no favours and end up looking like a, first class, tool!
It was a cracking race though, Moto3 was, absolutely, barking!

I always get the impression when watching him that he wants to win a race more than he cares about winning the championship. I guess he takes the view that he's young and bounces well .....

It was almost like watching a replay of Moto2.

As for the outright winner, who'd have forseen that .... should make for interesting racing next year when the new teams form Mr. Green

Thats what makes him interesting to watch imo.

Seemed to leave his brain in the tool box. Most unlike him in races recently.

Good that Cal got on with that new chassis. I wonder what other parts HRC bestowed upon him?

Great win from Maverick. Supports by theory that Aleix Espargaro is underachieving on that machine.

I seen that MM fella swipe out a gaggle of bikes in Moto2. He is a mental.

What makes him a marvellous and much needed mental is during that race he was keeping that bike up on his elbows and knees...throughout the whole race.

He pulls moves like the very very best of them.

I don't particularly like his current persona but he's great viewing.

Best race weekend in a little while. All of them captivating. Moto3 was just nuts.

I was about to instigate a Fatwa on BT for their PoS TV box cutting out 6 laps to go because of the race restart (MythTV has been able to re-adjust since 2004 or something, along with fixed overruns if you want, why can't modern kit)......but luckily had recorded Chequered Flag which was the next show on the schedule, so only lost 1/2 a lap Smile

I then watched the F1 race the next evening. I respect it. But its very dull.

It seems zombernie's days may be numbered as the head of F1, maybe the new lot can spread out the funds a bit better and we can have actual racing again Praying

I went Friday for 3 reasons; costs and crowds (well, lack of) and I wanted to watch the race on telly. I wanted to experience the sound and sight of the bikes but I often find I can't keep track of the actual racing as well as I can on telly when I'm there in person.

The sound of those Suzukis is immense. I mean, the Hondas all scream, like old school racers. The Yams and the Dukes sound identical - flat and wide. The Aprillias have some intake roar about them too. But the Szooks are properly awesome. They have a kind of whistle, like a low klaxxon or a massive turbo spinning up. Proper hair on the back of your neck stuff.

So glad I went, you cannot pick these details out on telly.

Thumbs Up
