Six weeks ago I sent off the "Permanently Exported" part of my V5!
10 days ago I received a refund cheque for VED!
Today I received a VED reminder!
I have just checked on the .gov website and, lo and behold, the bike that I permanently exported, a while ago, is still registered to me in the UK!
Total and utter fukwits, I'll be doing, precisely, nothing about it for the time being, it'll be interesting to see how this pans out, considering, I've received the tax refund.

Do you have anything in writing specifically confirming the export? A refund could be for SORN. Although the only way to un-SORN and become liable for VED again would have been to ... uh... pay VED.
