You could argue that chasing down someone carrying a semi automatic rifle with violent intent is tantamount to suicide.
Took a burning wheelie-bin and a bad attitude to a gunfight.
To me, the debate isn't whether he should have shot the guy, he's in a country where it's legal to carry a rifle about in the street and watching the footage, under those circumstance, I'd have shot him too.
If you allow people to carry firearms in public, it's implicit that at some point, they might be used. If you don't want them to be used, don't allow people to carry them. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. I saw something the other day that suggests more and more states are actually going in the other direction and moving closer to the letter of the 2nd amendment - the right to own and bear arms. I think this current administration has actually caused more Americans to think of why that amendment was incorporated. This is turning in to a massive setback in any drive to reduce the number of firearms. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Why fast forward? Why not go back a couple of years to when the most powerful man in the world was a White Supremacist backing madman that hated brown people?
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jan/20/virginia-gun-rally-activists-richmond
Estimated 22,000 people, 70% of them bearing visible arms, and guess what..... One person arrested for not wearing a mask.
Love the way The Guardian spins stuff:
Quote: | Virginia’s politicians had braced for potential violence at the state house, with some raising fears that the gun rights rally could turn violent, like the deadly 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville. |
That's it, liken it to a White Supremacy rally
And then go a step further and contradict the hell out of yourselves:
Quote: | Instead, Monday’s rally was crowded but calm, with members of militia groups and violent far-right groups such as the Proud Boys strolling the streets |
Brilliant fun as always. |
I think you missed the intention in my post. I was imagining demos where there were conflicting groups not just one side that like guns. |

I predict future US demonstrations will be attended by 3 sides carrying guns - both sets of demonstrators and the 5-0. ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

The solution is obvious: gun carry must be mandatory to attend protests in the US, let God sort them out ____________________ Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

You do have a valid point. Given our Colonial cousin's obsession with the Lord, you'd think he 'd be the bloke to decide who is right and who is wrong in these matters... ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

Well, it would appear a semi-automatic assault rifle at about 2 yards is also super effective if Kyles little conretemps is anything to go by. |
Most AR15`s chambered in 5.56/.223 are use with one of two most common rounds that cheap and widely available in bulk on the civilian market.
M193 55 grain 5.56mm being a high velocity small calibre round is know to break up and fragment in the body at sub 100 yard ranges, which produces some nasty wounds.
M855 62 grain 5.56mm has a improved perpetrator for penetrating steel (green tip) and does not fragment and can pass straight though a body. Was originally developed for the M249.
There is of course soft point and various hollow point hunting and self defence rounds but they are pricey compared to bulk M193 which the majority of AR15 owners shoot. ____________________ Past:NRG50,AF1125(x2),NSR125RR,ZZR250,CX500,VFR400,KR1S,ZZR600(x2),CB400N,YZF1000(x2),KH125,Z200,FX400R,CBR954RR(x2)GPZ500S,GT550,VFR750F(x2),RD350N,XR650R,CBR600F,CB250,KDX250,YZF750R,CRM250,400EXC,KLR650,TTR600RE,DR350S,R100GSPD,RGV250,VMAX1200,DL650 Present:G650XC,C12,KZ750,1190ADV |

The chilling thing that only gets occasionally mentioned is what great job he did of making all the shots count. No firing off rounds in a panic and catching some innocent bystander If a ginger paedo was trying to touch me up I'd have wasted a clip and have none left for all the rest of the felons ____________________ Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |
