Or maybe it’s just that the majority Bangladeshi population in Tower Hamlets voted for their own.

Quote:
After the five-year ban placed on him for standing for public office lapsed, Rahman managed to unseat the incumbent mayor, Labour’s John Biggs, under the banner of his Aspire party.

Rahman was kicked out of office in 2015 after (an electoral tribunal) concluded that he was guilty of vote-rigging, buying votes and religious intimidation. But the police and Crown Prosecution Service decided there was insufficient evidence to launch a criminal prosecution.

Rahman won 40,804 votes on the second round, with Biggs on 33,487.

I’m sure he’s learned his lesson, ie. don’t get caught.

They're not scripts though, they're merchandising material. The same can be said of a lot of entertainment media especially if it straddles the market between adults and children.

Me too but entirely because I think he would be good at it. If he does though the whole wokist triumphalism will ruin it. I doubt he will care though given the $ payout.

I see the next Doctor Who is wearing a blond hair-do now. Is that a cultural appropriation?

Unfortunately too old now. He'd need to be signed up for at least 3 movies so he'd be doing the last one in his late 50's (Daniel Craig's hanging up his Walther PPK in his early 50's.)

He's also not Black (in the political sense) so doesn't count towards promoting The Message.

True but 007 is going a bit more Jason Bourne these days with the action.

This is one of those deliberately obscure stories. Its a wind up, why cant they say what grounds there are for claiming a racial motivation? It seems bizarre that you can clearly whack someone over the head to the degree blood is drawn but not be held accountable but then be investigated for a racially motivated presumably non-crime. Wierd or just an incompetent journo?

He was Harry Palmer though, a character that was a kind of anti-Bond. Bond has always been a member of the establishment, Palmer was contrary to this and much edgier. I would love to see a good reboot of the Harry Palmer films. I know there was a recent tv remake of the ipcress files but a whole new movie would be worth a shot. Who be a good 'Arry Palmer though?

She initially claimed self defence which was accepted by the cops involved but since then videos of the incident have appeared which apparently show it in a completely different light, thus the re-investigation by the filth.

It appears the filth involved think the white woman with the genteel hobby seems to be more believable than the the disabled black teenage male
