If by that you mean that their gang lost a fite to another gang who happened to be crackers, and decided to escalate it into a race war by finding a random white lad and torture-murdering him to death, then sure, that's a "gang" incident.

tl;dr version - white guilt, appeasement.

To be fair, Lawrence was badly mishandled because of institutional racialism in MetPlod. They assumed that he diddu sumfink and had it coming. Tut Tut

But that was 25 years ago. Now there are multiple Yoofs of Color being stabbed up a treat in London each and every night, the majority by other Diversities. A Remembermosting day for Lawrence is shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, come back with its horse gang, and set fire to the stable. Then they've all stabbed each other.

Do we genuinely know that the lad had nothing to do with gangs?

I only ask because this guy was definitely an innocent lad, a good boy, and had absolutely, certainly, definitely was not involved in criminality. At. All.

Kriss Donald. I thought it had already been established that Lawrence was anti-white etc.

Or is that yet more bullshit from the mouth of Donk?

Wouldn't know, long since blicked.

On Donald, Al Beeb says he dindu nuffin, although he was in company with someone who mibbe diddu.

Biggest laugh is their Glasgow MP (a legitimate businessman, only one of whose sons has been jailed for fraud) coming from the same Pakistani town that the torture-murderers fled to. It's a small world, and it all seems to be coming here.

Delightful, ain't it. It's important to bear in mind that he was never convicted of bribing political opponents, and it was his son who was convicted of using the family business for money laundering. His eldest son, I mean, not the one that he passed the family constituency on to, in best sub-Continental style. Just marvellous.

London murders up 44%, knife crime 21%, and the victims are never called John or Jane Smith.

Why aren't there riots over that?

I deleted my post as I thought no one was interested Neutral The BBC currently have a series on his killing. Not to take anything away from the horrible murder that took place, but it's very poorly done, several minutes of someone saying the police and all of society are racist etc. followed by a few seconds of a rebuttal from an officer edited to make them look like a tw@. I'd like to hear both sides... it's a three part series they have time.

There are similarities with the Damilola Taylor murder where they had trouble securing a conviction until they used new DNA techniques. Apparently with Stephen Lawrence they were (originally) trying to prosecute based on an eyewitness (his friend), who admitted he was picking suspects from a lineup based on descriptions (of the alleged attackers) given to him by other people.

Inb4 Mark Duggan day. Funny how it's sort of marked with yearly protests. No more looting though.

Oh, I don't think the BBC will give them anything like the same level of coverage.

Why would you write a book about the murder of a mate? They said in the BBC programme he's never talked Doreen Lawrence about what happened. I think the inference was that he showed cowardness by running when the attack happened... honestly that's completely normal, whilst you don't leave your mates the 'normal' thing to do in that situation would be to leg it.

In another stabby/shooty weekend across the nation's capital, this seems to tick the usual boxes:

"Had much potential" - Check

"Helped Others" - Check

"Rapper" - Check

"Different surname to mum" - Check

"No comment from Dad" - Check

Also:
His mum wrote:
We're not being protected because of the police. The police are the ones putting us in danger.

The police shot him? Eh?

Might have been: apparently he was at war with the fucking cops.

His mum also wrote:
her son was not involved in gangs and [it] was not the first time he had been targeted

Seems legit. You know how gangs always be repeatedly targeting folk who aren't in gangs. Bare jelly, they are.

What's the difference between a "crew" and a "gang"? Do crews have better PR?

You forgot the mum keeping her sons toothbrush in her hair to keep him close (50 secs in). I burst out laughing when I saw that last night, it was mainly how the reporter said it in such a serious way Embarassed

Crack is a hell of a drug! And she's got crack ho' written all over her. I'd expect her to approach me in a car park
and tell me a sob story about how she's lost her purse and can't get home and could I lend her £2 so she
can get the bus. Whats with the cartoon coat? Bit cheerful for mourning. Thinking

Edit - I just figured out, it's dindus bathrobe. So she can be close to him. Why isn't she wearing his mask?

Is that one of the recent future doctors, architects and engineers we've recently lost. Such a loss. "'im blud clart cold", appears to be a comment from more than one of his academic equals. How prophetic.

I'm from London and I genuinely couldn't make out what the hell they were saying in that video. I fear I'm getting old.
Something that lot seem unlikely to experience tbh.
