Can anyone recommend some good motorbike leathers, or where I could possibly by some from?

Ebay. Cheapest set I've managed to bag was a Hein Gericke two piece for £25.
Kept the trousers, sold the jacket for 40 quid. Thumbs Up

Well they don't exist because they've been purchased. Search Gumtree or Ebay for second hand gear within area for local collection. A gamble on sizing I'd say.

If you're interested in Triumph gear someone posted this elsewhere recently and I saved it, of no use personally but might be of interested to you to look around at;

Sorry. Poorly worded sloppy Peterborian typing there. I meant that I bought those from Gumtree. Trying to make the point that good deals can be found on there.

Some of the lesser known brands can be had cheap. I recently bought an Ixon Typhon jacket which is like new, for the princely sum of 99p from eBay!

No idea why, but mine was the only bid. It was collection only, from Wimbledon, which was no big deal. Came with all the armour and thermal liner, couldn't be happier (ok, well I could have got the trousers too for the same money, but hey!)

What is the purpose of these leathers? Track days? Winter commuting? Weekend summer rides?

I commend you for wanting to be protected but for the road I would recommend a 2 piece leather set rather than a 1 piece.

1 pieces are not designed to walk around in and can be uncomfortable off the bike. also makes having a pee or sitting down for a cuppa at the local biker cafe a pain.

Personally I only wear my 1 piece on track and over the years I've collected a 2 piece leather set for the road, summer jackets, kevlar jeans, textiles, etc.. all used when the situation calls for it..

If it were me I'd get a decent set of textiles to start out as they'll be waterproof, comfortable and decent protection for whatever you want to do on the bike (apart from track of course) but if you're set on leathers then yes, I'd recommend a 2 piece over a 1 piece 100%

For a second hand - any good brand 2 piece that fits you and you can find on ebay. I have Wolf jacket as new for £40.

For a new leathers you can get decent 2 piece new Wolf from here:

Found a seller on eBay that sells a lot of 'bankrupt' stock; all new with tags but at really good prices. Just be patient when searching through the myriad of crap on that site...
