 |
|
short: ill as fuck for 2 years now and worsening
many tests
much normal result
i dont feel normal
doctors put it down to anxiety but 1 day i was fine, mega mild anxiety, the next day i felt like death and have since.
Long:
after much googlings whilst sat in bed feeling like my body was going to shut down any minute i came across something with many symptoms matching mine, and a cause which ties in with when i got ill.
problem is the doctors arent really interested in google nor are they interested in doing tests when things are recommended....
i had a mega near stroke moment a few months back where my blood pressure was high as fuck and rising and nothing would bring it down, was a bit lols for the nhs who sent an ambulance woman via 111 who said "you dont look that ill to me" and "if you couldnt breath properly youd be on the floor"... and left.. then a short while later... i felt worse, other half called 111, they sent someone else who asked why i didnt go with the other woman to hopital, i explained what was said and they where unsympathetic.
they decided as they where there, do an ecg and check blood pressure.. 15 minutes later they where requesting blue light amberlamp.
blood pressure settled and went back to normal
after much tests and shit i was sent home to "see how it goes" was suggested i book in with my doctor and see what they can do, i was given a list of a few things it could be, adrenal tumour and other shit, mentioned this and the doctor didnt give much of a fuck, went back a few more times saw a new one who finally agreed to test for it and came back fairly normal.. so put it down to anxiety again and whenever i go in they read my notes see anxiety and leave it at that...
i dont disagree that i have anxiety but i do disagree that its anxiety causing this...
what do? ____________________ Fin: no matter how much I look at It I can't understand what was going through my head, all I remember is going about 80 and redlining it to stop it seizing.

The reason I'm guessing Lyme's is that an in-law has just paid to have her self-diagnosis confirmed. Unsurprisingly, an outfit that takes money to confirm self-diagnoses has indeed taken her money and confirmed her self-diagnosis.
NHS told her to do one, now she's flying over the pond to drop phat $$$ in some Septic clinic.
Her problem, as everyone who knows her is fully aware, is that she's a fat, lazy, neurotic Munchausen's merchant.
Lyme disease is the new myalgic encephalomyelitis. I hope Pol's imagined something more interesting. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

lymes disease was mentioned however i wasnt tested, i do live downstairs from 2 scabby as fuck dogs and there was a cat there with aids, this was mentioned but they didn't do tests after to confirm nor rule it out.
however what i think it may be isnt as interesting
it "sounds" (google) like a hiatal hernia...
i was ill for about a week with epic coughing and violent as fuck sneezing, my sneezes are pretty violent anyway.. and now i get bad acid reflux which ive suffered with for years however it used to be shitty for a day or so then go away for a week or 2 then return, now its most days and i can't leave the house without gaviscon tablets and use a 600ml bottle every 10-15 days dependent on how bad it is...
the hernia can be caused by excess coughing and vomiting which i was doing a fair bit of the week before i suddenly went downhill, i have a lot of symptoms of it, chest pain, acid reflux, difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing and i burp a lot!
it all ties in so it seems another likely candidate, and the heart going spastic is probably caused by the anxiety levels raised by the fact out of nowhere i had epic chest pain and difficulty breathing.
apparently alcohol makes it worse, i had a beer yesterday and felt like utter shit last night. ____________________ Fin: no matter how much I look at It I can't understand what was going through my head, all I remember is going about 80 and redlining it to stop it seizing.

Have you been offered a referral to a mental health speialist for asessment and treatment for anxiety? Did you take it?
Most GPs are pretty fucking useless about mental health but if you have anxiety attacks causing physical symptoms like that, it needs sorting out. Or you need asessing and telling it isn't.
Anyway, in answer to your question. Call BUPA, say you want to see a GP on a private basis and they'll take it from there. You'll need to pay. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

every time i went in they said "take these tablets" and each had different outcomes, some turned me into a vegetable where i could be mistaken for a corpse, absolutely lifeless sat on the sofa staring at the wall, others made me not want to eat at all, days without any food, and others made me hungry as fuck and eat till i vomited, 1 that i was taking made me seriously contemplate suicide to the point id picked the location, had the idea of how to do it and started self harming... theres gotta be a better way than that shit!
in terms of referral for cbt it was discussed but told to try medication first as its easier but by this point i was so fed up with the nhs i gave up and now just living with pain most days, depressed and feeling groggy, the suicide urges aren't as strong but still sit in the back of my mind ____________________ Fin: no matter how much I look at It I can't understand what was going through my head, all I remember is going about 80 and redlining it to stop it seizing.

So. Sounds like you need to be referred for an asessment by a mental health professional, even if that wasn't your original problem.
I should start the ball rolling if I were you. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

ive been to my gp many times about acid reflux and been given omerprazole and lansoprazole, both of which eased it slightly but didnt cure it.
i dont smoke, i dont drink (3 beers in the past year or so) i dont drink fizzy drinks and dont eat unhealthy.
ive changed gp once as my last gp acted like "its your heart youre gonna die!!" 7 day heart tape, so many ecgs i get to put my own stickers on, ultrasound, chest xray.. found out my heart is fairly normal but noted atrial fibrillation which is common, said its not my heart have some anti depressants its anxiety
this was when i wanted to top myself as nothing worked, nothing changed, even in my cabbage like state i was still in pain and suffering.
changed gps and got more tests done, a quick heart test to confirm af and check its as they said, all was good, checked blood levels 5 times? urine tests including 24h one in which i was suddenly unable to actually pee.
all came back normal but it still persist, the problem is i KNOW anxiety is there, however i feel there is something else there causing this issue, i cant see how i can go from living a normal life with the slight inability to talk to people and go new places to having constant chest pain trouble swallowing and constant acid reflux in the space of a week, ive not been tested for a lot of things and it could be any one of them. ____________________ Fin: no matter how much I look at It I can't understand what was going through my head, all I remember is going about 80 and redlining it to stop it seizing.

As the Veterinary says, Mental health specialist is your next call.
Anxiety will cause many more problems than you think. No Pun.
It will affect homones, blood pressure, digestion, blood sugar, sleep, da da da...
Get yersel down to your Dr's and create a scene till you get seen.
An overworked Health service is no excuse for no service. And if they still play hardball DEMAND to be referred to or go visit another GP.
And if all resolved by that GP put the fukin' boot into the folk you are with now.
And Get well Soon et al.
It's worrying when the forum vet has to do the consultations for our members. What sort of people are bikers? ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

With respect, do not pass off anxiety as some sort of adolescent exams worry.
Anxiety is a cunt of a condition and wreaks havoc with a body.
It will wear you down. Immune system, endocrine, sex drive, digestion, bla de bla de bla....
Get it checked out.
But don't worry about it meanwhile. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

apparently the best way is call a dr in the middle of the night and get taken to hospital by ambulance
father in law has had constipation for a month been going to the dr every week sometimes twice
kept getting different advise like take pain killers, stop taking pain killers, take laxatives ,stop taking them take these ones instead
anyway he has been in hospital since Tuesday and had every test possible done on him and is nearly empty after having about three or four enemas ____________________ gilera runner vxr200 (chavped)

2/ Anxiety causes more anxiety, believe me, I've been there, & the cure will start with you getting out of that dark place you're in & trying some self help instead of whining about it to everyone who will listen!
(they are enabling you!)
Read this, it probably won't help you because you'll just find more things that you can relate to, but hopefully it could lead to you understanding your problem & moving forward with your life.

Sorry for the tough love attitude, but having been in that aweful place myself for a couple of years, I know you can repair yourself, & DO NOT for one minute think that you can't.
PS, here's the conclusion of the above lengthy report;
In conclusion, this large population-based study reveals a strong link between anxiety and depression and reflux symptoms, which is not explained by other factors associated with reflux symptoms such as tobacco smoking or obesity.
PPS, next time you're at the GP's surgery, ask for a diabetes test....... |

How I dealt with serious anxiety attacks (caused by DMT terror blowing the wiring in my amygdala):
a) Get angry enough to tell it to do its worst (which it then did), "KILL ME THEN, YOU CUNT!!!"...
b) Go right through a full attack and not die...
c) Think "That's all you got? Gawn, fuck off."
d) No more anxiety attacks.
Serious heart irregularities were caused by caffeine (three mugs a day), laid off the coffee, no more irregularities.
I've found that 95% of life's problems are caused by giving too many fucks. Giving no fucks at all can cause its own problems but not giving any fucks about that either is the solution.
