Hi guys!

Sorry if i posted in wrong group/post but please try to help/advise me on my issue.
I'm trial to insure my scooter honda pcx 125 but any insurance compamny don't want to insure me because suddenly last year i had an void insurance.
Could please someone try to advise ho was in this kind of situation or someone who can help me will be very appreciate.

Misunderstanding with an EU NCD,reason of void...
It's quite complicate because the NCD was issued by an branch and the head office don't recognise the document thrught the insurance UK company..

Who was the insurer that voided? Have you challenged their decision? They would have to prove that they would never have insured you if they had known. Was this the case?

Co-operative insurance.
They told me i can do something when from the EU insurance will confirm the genuine of document.
Right now to be honest with you i want to challenged the decision when i see i can't insure my bike.
Then like a said maybe i will need to go to court wint EU insurance because they don't want to recognise that document and aswell don't want to recognise they received and confirmation about genuine of document issued by local branch.

1st off. Insurance company's do not simply void insurance for no reason....

Why did you not sort it out last year. Insurance co's will contact you before voiding insurance and give you chance to resolve the issue.
So in this case it would have been either pay full price or provide proper proof of your NCB.

So the fact that they voided your insurance, means YOU must have failed to resolve it.

You could try raising a complaint with the insurance co that voided the insurance, but be prepared to lose. As the only way they will lose is if they failed to follow proper procedure.

End of the day. If a insurance company does not want to recognize EU NCB, that is up to them. Just the same as I guess EU co's won't take UK NCB.

I had a situation several years ago when my Speedfight was stolen. Reported to the po-po, reported to the ins company, but I never actually claimed a penny, or paid any excess or anything.

When I insured it the following year they accepted my NCD, and then disputed it later down the line (apparently they did some anti-fraud check) saying I had no NCD and offered me the chance to pay the premium with the adjusted NCD. I refused and managed to get them to overturn, retaining the original quote.

Seems to me something is amiss with the OP's void insurance. They didn't cancel it for a laugh and there are several stages to go through before they actually pull the plug.

What's the full story here?

They'll sometimes try it for a pretty thin reason.

I had one company (Swinton I think) threaten to cancel my insurance because I hadn't supplied them with evidence of no claims discount. They were the people who had insured me the year before. I should have recorded the ensuing telephone conversation as it was comedy gold.
