The little YBR was stolen last night. Called it into the police this morning after I discovered her gone when I went to go to work, and it turns out they were on scene with her at the Feral Shits fave dumping ground. They let me pick her up as she was nearby, but they smashed the shit out of her headlamp, amongst other damage. Little arseholes couldn't start her (Fuckwits, it's not difficult) so dumped her. Insurance has not been called, and I'm not aware of any obligation to call them as I have the bike back.

Where can I get a "fighter" fairing in the UK? Loads in China, but I want something to get her back on the road ASAP. I've ordered everything else I think I'll need, and she runs (I'm not a feral shit with no clue) ... but my ebay searches are turning up no "universal" fairings in the UK.

I will be sorting her to OEM before I sell her, but I want to commute on her in the meantime. Help and/or links much appreciated...

Is this one of the newish ones with an itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny bikini top fairing?

I reckon I'd just bin the fairing and throw on a universal round headlight. You can buy brackets for your forks. Since the YBR was until recently round-headlighted anyway, it won't look too chavvy.

I agree with Roger.

250LC style round headlamp. Two fork-clamp brackets, couple of flashers and some time spent reorganising the spaghetti junction of wiring into a birds-nest in the back of the headlamp shell.

Add on a small flyscreen that bolts to the headlamp bracket if you need to protect/cover the back of the clocks.

Headlamp

Brackets

Indicators

Flyscreen

Cheap is the word.

Follow it with "and nasty" and you've got an accurate description.

I've used them before. Lasted a week before all the obscure bulbs had popped. Went to change them. Saw the bulb holders were fitted by pushing them into a plastic cup so it trapped the bared end of the earth wire (not even soldered). Took it off and threw it in the bin.

That's why I directed the OP to a headlamp that will let you see in the dark and flashers that'll work.

Those are among the ones I saw in China, for less than that, except the ones I was looking at say they are H4 bulbs.
