Dear BCF.
I’ve been a member here since May and have witnessed you patiently giving all of us newbies huge amounts of advice. Though I’ve been alerted to something rather disturbing today.

Hubby came home today with a gift from a biking colleague.
A little silver bell on leather thongs. Apparently all bikers have a ‘rider bell’ on their bikes, as it keeps us safe and stops us from becoming potato’d from evil acts by road gremlins.
(If it was you that gifted hubby – he’s actually well chuffed with it.)

But damn, BCF. How could you forget to tell us newbies this? Are you trying to get us all killed?!
I’m gonna get me a bell. (I’m hoping there’s one that specialises in left bends as I’m still kind of crap at them!)
Very Happy

Mmm, it does rather sounds like someone's been spending too much time at the club hut with the boys.

Um. What?

No, seriously. What?

If any of the dudes I know that ride gave me a little silver bell I would have to reassess how much time I would spend with them after such an event.

There is a an Autobot badge on my Ducati because I am a child (and obviously it's alive). There is not a silver bell hanging from it because I am not a Wiccan/Cat/Gheylord.

More power to you though.

This is going to make my lot sound a bit strange, but...
My youngest has an air freshener hanging off his crash bung. Rolling Eyes
Yeah, I know - pics. Will get one tomorrow.

Off to do a night shift. Hope I don't get attacked by gremlins, just because Andyscooter is a big meanie that won't get me a bell. Laughing

Although I don't have a problem with LadyBikers and Thongs, I'd give a wide berth to any 'male' bikers that wear a leather thong... Shocked

Crash bung air freshener…

He also added these to his bike which I liked, until Google told me they were illegal. Though the police didn’t say anything about them, when they stopped to ask if he was alright, when he’d stopped in a dodgy place as his chain had come off. https://i1310.photobucket.com/albums/s645/fairyfrolics/lights_zpse5eayvi2.jpg

Shocked Empathise?! I was just trying to gently suggest an apology without him tearing me a new one. Laughing

You’ll have to take up breaking and entering. You’ll probably find it difficult finding a cat, especially a posh one, outside when it’s raining.Smile

On the subject of new bikers, my grandson is showing signs of being a biker hooligan.

You should probably buy a new phone, most phones in the last 5 years can handle those, evil, nasty, murderous links.

Google probably heard that from Tef.

They're fine. The only prohibition on lights showing to the front is that they must be steady and can't be red.

A question re: legislation, that link is mostly clear and understandable even to a simpleton such as myself, but if there is legislation which may counter it, would that normally be referenced on the same page?

I see, empathise was perhaps a strong word, anybody who has read most of Bodyguards posts would know better though.
He's been given more chances than anybody deserves. (and people say BCFers aren't nice?) Very Happy

I was actually less dismayed than I expected seeing the Smiley Sun, I may have assumed he was draping a christmas tree on it. Laughing
