So I have a pair of Phillips bluetooth headphones (SHB3165 to be precise).

When playing music via my phone, it seems to go through phases of cutting in/out. A bit like a skipping CD.

This has happened on both my Xperia Z5 and my Huawei P8 lite, so it cannot be the phone. I have noticed that it seems to happen in the same spot when I'm walking to work. The phone signal bounced between 4G, 3G and Edge. But why would that affect Bluetooth?! I'm not streamign music as far as I'm aware, it's all downloaded onto the phone, but it is Spotify that I'm playing via.

Has anyone else ever had this before with headphones? I hate wires as they always seem to tangle!

Bluetooth sends signals over a 2.4GHz radio, which is also used for WiFi.

Anything that uses that frequency can interfere, such as other wifi devices, microwaves, powerlines, electrified rails, all can play a part

So being in the city with a gazillion wifi hotspots and god knows what else might just be the issue?
Hmmm, might have to go back to wires then!

Is it only that 1 spot where you get the issue though?

Well, on my way to work, yes, the same stretch of road seems to behave the same every day.

But if I'm just out an about it can happen whenever.
