Now I'm not a great fan of 'On Yer Bike'. Funny how different people have different thoughts.

That's probably all it is i guess - will give them another go, maybe it will help that i've made my mind up what I want instead of being yet another meandering customer Smile

Hah.

Parts are prices supplied only and the labour time is indeed a chargeable one.

So ..... depending on how much your local dealer charges per hour, if you have 10 hours total of parts fitting and it's 50 quid an hour plus VAT ( value? ) it starts to get expensive.

However Triumph did suggest that as that's a solely dealer question, no harm in asking for a bulk discount or agreeing some kind of deal with them but that would be between you and the supplying dealer.

I think on that basis i'd want basic bike only and then get the upgrades i wanted from the aftermarket lot and fit them myself as most of them are just bolt ons anyway.

When I got my Triumph explorer they didn't charge me fitting for the extras but that was 4 years ago now. I think there are different people in charge.

Shy bairns get nowt - when i'm ready to buy, i'll go and have that chat and see what the answer is.

Really I need to do a test ride of the STR and this and see which makes me smile more. I think buying based on smile rating is what will work for me.
