Anyone ridden around here? Any nice roads / towns to stay in / sights?

Planning a quick weekend with a friend (leave London 0800 Saturday, returning Sunday eve) - we did Ypres last year - want a destination not too far from Calais so we can get a bit of scenic riding in then park up in the afternoon and have a few beers and some good nosh.

Thought about the Ardennes but maybe just a bit too far. Thought this might be interesting as it's a national park?

Alternative would be further into Belgium, maybe to Bruges or thereabouts, but I imagine the roads will all be a bit flat.

Been through it and camped there serenaded by (real) frogs.
Rolling hills quite pretty villages and some forest - nothing special except as they imply it's nice compared to not-far-away Lille which is a bit grim.
I wouldn't go special but worth a detour perhaps.

I'd do a couple of hours on the motorway from Calais and head to the Ardennes - the Givet/Boullion area is awesome, empty brilliant roads. Follow the river for loads of smooth, sweeping bends with no cars at all.
