It looks like an XL125S, it's definitely not a 125R, because it's got twin shocks! (I should know, I've got a 125R!)
Good luck finding a new or secondhand exhaust, for a reasonable price, they're not easy to find.
The only, reasonably priced, new silencer were "Marving", sold by Wemoto. You can find "Marving" exhausts on Ebay, the price varies compared to Wemoto, so worth a look! ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |

I'd say TL125
School-boy Trials regs limited youths to 125's.
Plenty sold in the 80's 'un-registered', as 'plant' saving vehicle taxes and dodging C&U reg's that they often wouldn't meet, lacking leccy horns & stuff. Hence not unusual for Comp-Trials to lack no-plate, V5 or VIN tag; essentially they were sold like a ride on lawn mower or cement mixer, not a motorbike.
Try Sammy Miller Spares for pipe & plastics; they used to support the rock-hoppas rather better than either Honda or Dave Silvers, though Jim Sandifords were the 'official Montesa-Honda importers for a lot of the rock hoppas. ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
Current Bikes:'Honda VF1000F' ;'CB750F2N' ;'CB125TD ( 6 3 of em!)'; 'Montesa Cota 248'. Learner FAQ's:= 'U want to Ride a Motorbike! Where Do U start?' |

I'll be up there this weekend to check exactly what it is, wanted to get the pipe before Christmas though, hence asking.
Looks like it'll be about £300 so might just get one off an old CB/CG and make it fit.
It was bought new when one of the farm workers lost his license drink driving so he could get to work across the fields, then for general work. Been sat in one of the sheds for about 20 years but got it going a few weeks back.
I'll have a written apology please Mr. Borg for tarnishing my splendid reputation |
