Is there a particular reason you want to go with a tour company?

If you can find a fellow biker to go with (just os you're not alone on some of the more gnarly off road routes) it'd be cheaper, and you'd have more freedom.

As always, if you want to evaluate a tour company, probe someone who's used them, using information or closed type questions. Ignore the tripadvisor and Facebook nonsense that always claims everyone always had a great time. Ask direct and simple things like: "how many times a day did the tour guide take you to one of his friends' shops". Hint: that's especially relevant for tours in Morocco. Tourist trap!

So, you are saying there's a rampant crime problem in Morocco?

I'm not sure organ theft is the best way to advertise your country or business.

You will have a great time- The Country is excellent; the people even better and the food equally as good.

I shot a film featuring 5 bikers who had never met before- all with the same plan as you! If you need any help..please ask

From the other side of the coin, I'm not a fan of North African countries. I've spent time with work in Egypt and Algeria and visited Morocco. I didn't enjoy my time there.

I have no reason to say it but I never felt safe in any of these countries. I've felt safer in Nigeria and other sub Sahara Black African countries which is saying something.

Still, loads of people go there and enjoy themselves but I certainly wouldn't do it alone, especially if you aren't an experienced traveller.

I'm heading off to Morocco alone next year. I can recommend Chris Scott's guides, available from all good online vendors:

1. Adventure motorcycling handbook
2. Morocco Overland Route Guide
