back in about 2004 I was working in a bike shop and we attended the ally pally show annually to sell clothing mainly, one of the guys was driving up and down taking stock to the show and coming back to the shop morning and afternoon, then on one trip he left his email open so I did the 'coming out gay' message and sent to to everyone in his address book, over 100 contacts as he was in an mcc or two and FB wasn't around yet, he's still a great mate and never did anything other than laugh along with it as dozens of his mate's and his mom and sister were all phoning him for days afterwards

One of the lads at work left his laptop unattended with his e-mail open.
Another one of the lads then sent an e-mail to our boss who is female.
The email said how he had always loved her and wanted to see her naked.

Funnily he got the send/address bit wrong and sent it to another female colleague who is about 18 stone with a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp and a man hater with no sense of humour

A big investigation later and the management were jumping up and down threatening all sorts of discipline to anyone involved

Once, before we had individual internet access on ships a white British Chief Officer on a Nigerian ship sent an e-mail to a collegue on another ship complaining how lazy his Nigerian crew were.

Problem was he sent it to everyone on the mailing list which included Shell head office and Nigeria LNG office. The shit hit the fan over that one.

I got an insulting message after an ebay auction from the winning bidder.

The e-mail address associated with the winning account originated at a minor public school, so I phoned the secretary and spoke to the head, and the kids got in trouble.

A few work lads once went to town on my FB adding people who worked with the company that I didn't know and sending them weird but believable messages and liking odd pictures.

They also added a random burlesque dancer from London... I didn't delete her.

Best one I did wasn't Facebook but I bought a cheap payg phone with free 10 quids worth of credit as my phone broke

Told a workmate my name was Pete and I had his number off a toilet wall in a pub and was up for sexy time

He shit himself and went round every pub in town trying to find out which wall it was on

I carried on for about a week before I let him know
