as above, it doesnt seem to want to budge, but i have a new grip to go on

just a case of getting into it with a stanley knife? what should i use to secure it afterwards, grip lock or is there something better?

You can cut it off but try poking a long thin screwdriver down it and moving it round - don't stab yourself!

Use hairspray on the nylon tube to slide the new rubber on - it slips on easy and then evaporates and sticks Thumbs Up

when i changed my grips, the throttel slide is fine, as the grip sits nicely on it, but on the other side, there is no throttel slide, so the grip just slides off, what can i use to make the handle bar fater so the grip sits better on it?

Yeah Goose, Scalpel or Stanley Knife. Then use superglue or a bit of silicion or something to hold the new grip in place. Just take your time, it's not too vital, but try not to scratch the bar underneath with the scalpel/stanley knife.

Don't use glue on it, you will really regret it if you ever have to remove them.

The best thing I have found is hairspray.

Hi

Long srew driver up the inside of the grip then squirt a bit of WD40 down the gap you have made. They will slide off easily then.

Hair spray has a good reputation for putting them on.

I usually wrap the bar in electrical insulating tape until it is a good fit. A bit of shrink tube would be more secure but I have never had a problem with the PVC.

Make sure you clean it all off though, or next time it's wet and you put the bike on the centre stand, you'll be left there holding the grip as the bike falls on it's side Sick

If you immerse the grip in boiling water for 2min before you start it will expand with the heat, then it should slip on easily. Then when it cools it will shrink back to size.

Exclamation CAUTION Exclamation ask your mummy to do this so that you don't scauld yourself

I think silicone would be the best thing to stick it on with, it will grip hard and it will come off clean when you need to change them.

Where did you get your grips from and how much?

I need some for my NS125R.
