Hi, im wondering if anyone could give me some advice, i recently bought a yamaha ybr 125 as a non runner, i found that there was no spark so i checked the coil pack which seems to be ok and the side stand kill switch which again is ok. I then noticed that when i put the ignition on the engine management light doesn't come on at all. I've just replaced the CDI with a second hand one but its still the same, any advice what to do next? cheers john

Yet again, it screams of a dead/dying battery.

Do you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the ignition on and the EM light is lit? If so, bump it, take it out for a good, long run, and I bet your problem goes away. I am assuming you have an MOT, tax, insurance etc. If you don't, then charge it with a charger.

If it keeps happening, and you *are* giving it long runs at a decent throttle, then the battery has been discharged to a point where it is damaged.
