My uncle is flogging his CBR600rr soon to make way for more bikes...The one he has is a "Hannspree"

Is it just a normal cbr but with a different paint job?

I havent got a clue on mileage, or any ideas what they are worth?

oh an are they any good?

Im guessing it will ride like a rocket compared to my Bandit.

Hannspree is just the colour scheme I believe.

I had one for 2 years, a 2005 model. It was great. At first, felt like doing a handstand on the bars but soon got used to it. I did a trip to Wales on it and was a little achy but fine overall.

Sold mine last year for £2500, and it had 55k miles on it. Was in good condition.

100 miles to a full tank, but if you're buying a sports bike.....

It was quick, good for rideouts and I also used it for commuting in Central London for the period I owned it. Would have kept it, but needed something more practical when I started doing daily commuting with pillion. Pretty reliable too, it was. Very revvy, but it is a 600cc IL4. Needed a lot of revs to get going and then keep it around 6/7k to keep the fun on tap. I think they're quite small for sports bikes too, but was good for me at 5'6, could get one foot down flat no problem.

Nice for filtering in straight lines but turning circle not fantastic. Honda build quality was there, although I did manage to crack a Tokina caliper, somehow. Braided brake lines were a good upgrade and brakes were very good.

I'd probably have another Thumbs Up

Cheers all

I think his is a 57 plate - I think?

Its all very early doors yet, I havent even sat on the thing but I know he is selling a few of his bikes.

Someone else has mentioned they are quite small, im 6ft1 an nearly 17 stone - so wondering if it would be a squeeze

Most of the bikes he has are garage queens so reckon he might want quite a lot for it (no family discount Thumbs Down)

Wouldn't bother if he wont do a nice deal, might as well buy the fireblade, its just as linear but with more top end.

I looked at one of these when I was buying last year. Hanspree is just the colour scheme and I personally love it. Not for all, but I think it's a stunning looking bike.

I think from memory the Honda dealer wanted 5.8k for a 57 plate - low mileage, but can't recall how low. In the teens I think it was. Was a toy up between that and a new CBR650. I wanted new and as a new rider wasn't sure about commuting on a 600RR.

Few more years on the 650 and then the Fireblade Smile

2010 Fireblade with 14,000 miles, £5650

OP, make sure your uncle is looking at eBay auction closing prices rather than dealer asking prices to set his expectations.
