Hi guys,

I got two 24" Samsung TV/Monitors earlier today. The model is T24D390S.
I've set them up and am happy with the image etc. etc. However, I am having a problem which is quite annoying.
My left (main) monitor is used for the PC aswell as the PS4, so when I want to switch input from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 I use the remote (the nipple-button thing is in an awkward place.) However, because they're both the same monitor it's trying to switch #2 too.
I've tried blocking what I thought was the IR sensor on the monitor, but it's still getting through. So I put my thumb over the end of the remote itself. It still gets through. So I'm thinking it isn't IR anymore.

TL;DR: Does anyone know of a way where I can block the signal to just one monitor so that the other can be changed without interfering?

If it's not an IR remote, you're going to struggle.

Just turn off the other monitor?

I was going to say this, the Samsung CEC is called anynet+ and is normally in the general settings under device managment I think, not sure what it can do for routing control of another display though.

I've been through all the settings, but can't find anything relevant.
Still don't understand how the signal can go through a thumb. If I could figure out how to block the signal, I'd be golden.
Thanks for the suggestions though.

I like to keep the second monitor on, even when I am playing games. And I can't just turn it off because I'd have to use the awkwardly placed nipple button, or the remote.

According to the spec CEC is not featured on this model.

However, here's a manual:
https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201409/20140902165138962/BN46-00437A-ENG.pdf

Page 13 shows the remote sensor.

Page 15 states that some light sources may interfere with the remote, so I'd say it's probably IR.

Pages 32 and 34 given instructions on how to use a USB keyboard or mouse to control the tv.

There's also something in there about wifi control wizardry but I didn't read into it.
