The result of the referendum is non-binding.

You can't get a better joke than that.

"Referendum" by definition, is the joke.
Quote:
a general vote by the electorate on a single political question which has been referred to them for a direct decision.
Direct decision means zero when virtually everything that happens subsequently in either case returns to being completely out of 99.9% of the electorates realistic influence.

At least its fun n' games to pretend in the meantime though The world's smallest violin player, just for you!.

I spotted this last week, referring to an out vote:-

Next week, Britain will reclaim her rightful place on the world stage.

Quite frankly, the funniest thing I've read this century!

There are a couple of questions that no one is addressing, dodging them at every turn. These are critical to the debate and they're not helping.

So here are the two questions we need to ask:

1) Why isn’t the official leave site on a .uk domain?
2) Why isn’t the official remain site on an .eu domain?

There are four out campaigns

Vote Leave - Uses a .org domain instead of .org.uk because .org looks more impressive
https://www.voteleavetakecontrol.org/

Grassroots Out - Uses a UK domain name
https://grassrootsout.co.uk/

Leave.EU - A UKIP front which uses an EU domain name (Part of Go)
https://leave.eu/

Labour leave (Part of Go)
www.labourleave.org

There are also loads of other minor groups...

Man walks into a bar.

He's on his own because all his friends are working unsocial hours and he can't afford a pint because he hasn't had a pay rise for 10 years, thanks to the British working class being nothing but low maintenance GDP tools for the EU elite.

To avoid a confrontation, the referendum will now be held over 2 days.

Remain voters should vote on 23rd, and Leave voters should vote on the 30th.

The EU protects workers rights

See Greece, Ireland, Romania and Portugal.

https://www.labourleave.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/LL-8-page-FINAL-14.1.16.pdf

Collective bargaining (unions) have been essentially banned in Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Romania. Greece and Romania have abolished their minimum wage.

Note yes Greece is in a bad way. But they're simply being punished rather than being asked to leave so they can rebuild.

Turkey will never join the EU:

Sure it wasn't from "Britain Stronger in EUROPE"? They don't seem to know WTF we're voting for either.

Pretty sure, here is translated article from Le Figaro:

Quite ironic for such a vocal supporter of the "bury your head in the sand" brigade.

How do you see the EU in 20 years Val?

Or are you naive enough to think you'll be forcibly repatriated if Leave win? I know my youngest sister is naive enough to believe this.

Not sure what you mean the good cartoon is a good cartoon regardless.

Glad you have asked. The UK may leave the EU.

I hope the EU will be federated union like the Swiss one. With two tier EU membership: https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/europpblog/2013/03/06/associate-eu-membership/

Hope the Russian will sort their mess with Navalny as president and the UK, Russia, Ukraine and Turkey will be new associate member states, where countries would agree to the EU’s values, but not to all its activities or political objectives as per the article above.

Whatever happens I will be retired in Spain so no surprises here Very Happy

Seems fair enough. According to the propaganda leaflet through my door from the Sweaty Nationalist[*], a vote for Brexit is indeed a vote to leave "Europe". Rolling Eyes

[*] Scotch nationalism is well deserved pride. English nationalism is petty post imperialist racism.

Didn't the pixie say that if UK voted out then it'd trigger another independance vote in Scotland?
