I'm really confused by loads of people I know getting excited about this...just use an emulator...Nes emulators are available on a number of platforms too

Seriously, though.
I think we should revert to the tradition of giving gifts that ONLY relate to the Christmas period. I think that all this OMG WTF am I going to buy them thing needs to stop.

An Italian friend of mine only ever buys me small simple (and often surprisingly elegant) things which are directly related to Christmas, i.e., a teatowel with a santa snowman on it, that sort of thing. Stuff which, after Christmas, can be used, immediately or for a brief period of time, and then chucked out with equanimity and no sense of guilt, hopefully by Twelfth Night.

Example:


Pickerings Gin Baubles.
(I hope my secret santa is paying attention)
