Adjusting footpegs is it possible?

Noobish question here probably but can you adjust the distance between the foot pegs and the gear leaver and back brake? I have size 13 feet and have pretty big boots, I didn't have too much trouble on my CBT but when my bike comes next week I may struggle.

It depends what the bike is. some bikes have a couple of mounting holes on the frame where the foot peg attaches to, and they can be moved closer or away from the gear/break lever...
what bike do you have?

On popular sports bikes you can get 'rearsets' that allow you to adjust such things.

Are the gear and brake levers mounted on the foot rest?

If not you could talk to a local metal work place and see if they can make you up a bracket.

If they are it's going to require a fair bit of bodging.

You can adjust the angle of the gearchange lever, to make it a bit easier to get your foot under it. The rest is just about adapting.

Hey Malb I've got the same bike and I sometimes ride it with my work boots which are those rigger type boots,they are 'only' size 11 but are rather large and clumsy and I dont have a problem.

I dont ride with them very often though....slip on boots aint the best of things on a bike!

if the brake and Gear levers don't have a pivot point attached to the footrests, im sure you could either take the footrest and mount off, and either redrill the bolt holes (if its bolted) or get a sort of bracket or plate welded to the existing plate and redrill into the new plate for the foot pegs to mount onto. it may be a strugle though.
