 |
|
Ordered a new car (Audi) on lease hire (distant supplier JCT600 group). Part of agreement process was sight of my original driving licence. Me not happy but assurances of registered post etc do 100's a year, all assurances and a blue chip Company so I sent it in registered post and they acknowledge receipt.
So they've lost it. Many apologies from up high Management meet all costs compensation etc.
I haven't applied for replacement yet. I have heard of nightmare situations where replacement licences come back with lost entitlements particularly A motorcycle. So my situation is, it may all run smooth new licence with all endorsements delivered and OK. Or the doomsday scenario.
In preparation, is there anything online about my current entitlements I can copy / download before a request for a new licence wipes this?
I didn't photo copy my licence before I sent it but would this be acceptable evidence in any case?
Am I just paranoid and the DVLA will always help in this situation?

The only thing they officially accept to restore lost categories is a copy of your test pass certificate. You can get them from your original test centre if a) It's still open and b) You can remember when you did it.
I'd like to think the three driving licences I didn't send back when I had them replaced would stand up to a fair amount of scruitiny. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

I've used the old phone service many times. It cost ~£20 and usually arrived within the week. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.
Skudd:- Perhaps she just thinks you are a window licker and is being nice just in case she becomes another Jill Dando.
WANTED:- Fujinon (Fuji) M42 (Screw on) lenses, let me know if you have anything. |
