Which model of Fazer is this please? And can you tell from looking at it, if it’s a 600 or a 1000?
Thank you. Smile

It looks very similar to the one pictured here:-

https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/yamaha/yamaha_fzs1000%2001.htm

Which, according to the blurb, is a FZ-S 1000, circa 2001.

Yes, FZS1000, but I think 2003, as I don't think they had black frames before then.

Ugly engine = 1000cc, 600 Fazers have fake cooling fins.

Thank you. I’m not very good at ‘spot the difference’ type pics. I’d looked at so many - and they were all starting to look the same. Cheers. Smile

You only need the image information when posting them. Or just copy the image straight into imgur if you don't care about it being private.

Another pro tip if you use chrome, right click > Search Google for image.

Don't sweat it, my dear.
I can still barely tell most engines apart, especially jappers.

For some odd reason years ago, I learnt to tell the difference between most various types of Harley engines (although not modern ones!) but I only just bought a Harley a year or so ago, wtf, LOL (I think I have an "Evo" for those who even have a clue what that means).

Someone did also once point out to me a difference between a "unit" and "pre-unit" Triumph, but I have forgotten by now. I think it (pre-unit) has a kind of something on the side.

I definitely can't tell engine size, unless someone helpful shows me the two for comparison (i.e., posts two pictures, or has two bikes of different size standing side by side. Laughing

And that deathly-sounding rattle in a Ducati isn't the engine about to fall off, apparently its a special kind of clutch.

Such is the sum total of my knowledge.

Carry on, we all saw your dog and the naughty photos.

You can quote someone else's posts to see how it's done with the tags, and then just copy the method, but don't do it with any of Ste's!

Faaaar too positive, I think you need to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Add some profanity and racist terms in there and get back to us. Thumbs Up

Other cool items? Such as the Alpinestars sticker?

@ HK, Pre unit means pre unit construction, as in the gearbox is separate from the engine.
