Halfrauds' standard HS1 35/35 bulb has lasted me an AMAZING 31 days before dying Thumbs Up That's maybe 36 hours' use.

I'll have to get another one off them so that I'll have a receipt I can use for a refund. For future ref, is this just unlucky or are some brands more often 'unlucky' than others?

I had a pair of Osram Nightbreakers in the car.

Had them in for about a year, one died, I replaced it, the same one died a week later, replaced it and the other one died two days after that Neutral

Fitted with latex gloves on etc. I'm pretty sure it's luck of the draw, some bulbs are just duff.

I went to put a nightbreaker in the Fz6 and before starting I looked closely through the lens and saw 'Japan' on the base - I'm fairly sure that means it's the original, and I'm not touching it because sod's law I'll be replacing it every 6 months afterwards Laughing

If you start to get a bulb dying regularly, it's time to start looking at the earth.

Urgh, yes, this is like those "Battery died, replaced it, new battery is dead too. Stupid new battery!" threads.

No idea - I'm aiming to play "pass the bike" asap anyway Smile
Just need the thing to work well enough until I trade it in.
