Just got a text from a friend who works in J&S in Birmingham (Digbeth) saying there's 20% off on everything in store starting from tomorrow. Oils and filters are excluded from this offer.

Guessing it's got something to do with them not going to the NEC bike show, so they've got an in-store sale instead.

I've replied asking how long the discounts on for and if it covers any other stores. Will update when I get a reply Thumbs Up

J&S in Digbeth are great, can't imagine people having many issues there with parking. The Manager Garry is sound and i've made friends with 2 of the employee's there too. I get hot drinks made for me and everything lol.

I'm going to hazard a guess that the problem is leaving your bike unattended anywhere in Brum, especially Digbeth rather than anything to do with it being parked outside J&S specifically.
Especially considering the amount of bikes going walkies around Brum at the minute.

I can't argue with that, so many bikes have been stolen recently it's disgusting. Not just a Birmingham issue though, it's an issue within most major cities across the UK.

I've seen that thread. Not all J&S's are like that in my experience, is what I was getting at...

Could it be time to replace my 6 1/2 year old RST jacket?

Nah. Used. Plus I road tested it when I dropped the bike and rolled on the road.

First deal of its kind I've seen while being on a bike and I've just purchased one leaving me with pennies and pot noodles, what a time.

Uno not happyo. Doh!

I'm dithering over spending £150 on a certain pair of boots.
A bit cheaper on ebay/Amazon but the full 150 at J&S... except they're no longer advertising them since this sale is on...
I'm sure there are many good deals but I think they've changes some of their previous 'sale' price upwards to keep the new sale price similar... Rolling Eyes

Agree.

Think they've removed non sale items which include most of the things I might of wanted, small items. Chain lube and so on. Panniers I've also had on the watch-list seem to not be showing up.

Thumbs Down

My local dealer did that with bikes. I had been ummin' and arrin' over a bike they had, it was £2499 which wasn't bad for a stealer price. I just couldn't make my mind up. My wife came home one day after being out and said she passed the dealer and they had a sign in the window saying £200 off selected bikes. I went there in excitement and to my joy there was a sign on the bike I was interested in saying £200 off... I look up and the price of the bike had changed to £2699! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Conning fuckers!
