They might have run out of ideas already Neutral This weeks episode felt like the Botswana TG special, well the beginning of it (we'll see what happens next week). They also used the misfire gag on TG.

I've enjoyed the series up until today's Namibia episode - it was very dull Sad

Been catching up with this since christmas

On episode in finland with hammond in the mustang

Daughter finds it funny so can watch in the day time

Celeb brain bit is getting a bit boring

Also one turning up for a test later is a bit repetitive

Got to agree.
I was looking forward to it with the beach buggies
(Having owned one in the past)
But found it dull, dull, dull. Sad

2 hours of beach buggies and contrived plot devices. Could see every bit unfolding before it happened. Glad I don't pay to watch that shit.

These 3 are getting so predictable, at least when a cat gets old and mental it'll keep you on your toes by shitting behind the tv or vomiting a massive furball onto your neck. This triad of beige-tertainers just roll out the same fake pranks each episode. Ooh Hammond, your car is fubar, drives off leaving him with umpteen lackeys to dye his hair. Ooh I've put smelly old dead fish under your seat... Ooh I've done some crap engineering and it's broke. Yawnz.

Old old (original) Top Gear was better, with factual in depth car reviews and some proper journalism. I wouldn't have known that brake fluid was flammable without it. Now it's like watching the holiday show but without Judith Chalmers crinkly terracotta cleavage.

The cult of celebrity non personality hath killed off most tv worth watching.
Good job youtube is able to fill some of the gaps.

Will I watch the next one? Well you'd not guess from the above but I'm an eternal optimist. I'm hoping Amazon wake the fuck up and kill it.

I also enjoyed this weeks episode and have recently been watching some older Top Gear from a while back and I have to say Grand Tour is far better but not sure if it will run as long this time round tbh.

This weeks' was pretty dreary IMO. NSX review was ok. The rest was just padding.

They seem to be doing a lot more project cars in TGT than they did in Top Gear, maybe a result of a bigger budget?

So series over. The last episode was good all the way through IMO, the previous 2 (in Scotland) were a bit naff. Overall I enjoyed it Thumbs Up

I liked it.

It was no worse than the classic BBC one it is replaced.

Got a bit fed up with the celeb thing, but... on the whole, most of the studio audiences I assume would have been fresh to them each time.

Test drives are okay, the track just doesn't have any personality to it yet, but I prefer it to the Chris Evans water splash one anyway.

Hoping series 2 will be better, but quite happy with it.

Not worth subscribing to Amazon just for this, but quite happy to have it as part of the package.

Wish I could opt out of the TV license really, and not watch BBC,

Better than the last five or so series of Top Gear. You can tell they've been let off the leash a bit, which is great. Won't get much more exciting, but might settle down with the whole military edge of tomorrow thing/making car reefs and P*ssing about.

Let's see what Post CHM Top Gear Series 2 sans Evans is like.

I bought Amazon Prime just for this because wanting to put money on things I enjoy.
I have no choice to pay for Strictly Come Dancing or Great British Bakeoff etc, but do choose to pay for MotoGP, BSB and now TGT.

Amazon will get my money again next year. I enjoyed most of the episodes and laughed like the idiot I am (which hasn't happened in a while) so thats good enough.

I've had a poke around Amazon Prime / Video and its pretty shit. I certainly can't recommend it as a platform.
The choice of films is small, the choice of those which are actually included in the annual sub is even smaller. Most things are extra.
Boxsets may be free for the first series, but are then £3 an episode thereafter making it more expensive than actually buying the boxed set.

Interesting, I considered paying for a sub' for the reasons you mentioned, and I also quite enjoyed Bosch. I wonder how much it would cost for a legal Kodi/Exodus experience, personally I'd pay £20 p/m for a service like that, having tried Netflix/Prime/NowTV they all have their bad points.

Its back!

They're no longer on tour staying put in a random field in England. No more celebrity brain crash by popular demand, instead they have two celebrities trying to beat each other around a rallycross track Confused So stealing ideas from old and new top gear. No reasonably priced car though, they're using an F Type, because we all want to see a nice car getting f**ked up on gravel...

The entire episode was building up to Hammonds crash, which they ended up showing the YouTube clip of, as they had no footage of the crash Brick Wall Apart from a couple of funnies it was fairly naff.

James May has eaten all the pies.

Typical TG/GT stuff, easy watching as long as you don't take it seriously.

I found this genuinely laugh-out-loud funny though

Perhaps explains why Mr May has put on weight, trying to become more American.

I got fed up with the first series and ended up skipping over the tent stuff and just going for the VT stuff instead. Its a shame they still seem to have some celebrity crap but I will give the first episode a go.
