Hey guys, new to this forum and I thought I'd introduce myself..
Not been riding too long, but have worked on bikes for a while now.
I've only got a CBT for now.. so got hold of a Honley HD2 for cheep.

So after riding it for a few days I had enough with the boaring style of the bike.. and began chopping bits off. Getting rid of the headlamp and all crappy plastics off the bike as I was going for a cafe/brat style, then started mocking up a seat out of a old skateboard I had knocking around..

With taking off the HUGE instrament cluster and replacing it with a small speedoI had to rewire afair bit. I've been a mechanic for 9 years but with no wiring diagrams or anything and wires all being diffrent collours it took a small time to get sorted.. anyway, I'm after removing the wiring from the gearbox because it's not needed anymore.. is there a way of removing this as just simply unplugging it won't let the engine spin over because it thinks it's in gear? any help would be a great help to me! ____________________ Offerings to the God of speed. |

That's... not a bad job, actually. The skateboard seat is a top ghetto bodge. Bars next?

Remove the s from "https" to get the images load correctly. Get the wiring diagram and manual for the bike if there is one. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

Welcome to the forum.
I am quite relaxed about what people do to their bikes. I mean, you bought it, it's yours to play with.
However in your case I'm sorry to say that you have way too much time on your hands and some utterly bellendish ideas.
Why do you want to stick a skate board in place of a seat. Genuine question, or are you one of these funny people who like rubbing their balls with sandpaper?
Still, I shall await the finished article before I jump to conclusions. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Haha, you'll be surprised how many times I've been. Asked that.. I'm putting foam and leather on top so it's only a mock up at the moment! ____________________ Offerings to the God of speed. |

Alright gays, after a few months of just pissing around I'm up to here.

So.. as you can see, after the first images in this post, the seat's frame was an old skateboard. But after sanding back, putting foam off old yoga matts and a leather skin off another seat we had knocking around finished off the brat looking seat. Which is way more nicer then the sandpaper on a skateboard..
The side pannels are made out of old road signs, cut and bent to shape to try and copy the old brit bike image. These where bent to shape best I could. The O/S cover as you can see has a hole in the middle to try and minipulate a Triumph Tiger Cup, hence STP sticker, where the oil tank was as trying to cover the hole air box would of looked too bulky and not what I was going for, after a few coats of paint I put that rubber edging around it to finish it off.. Now I know the paint work's crap at the moment but I'm not too botherd about that, I'll flat it back maybe and t-cut it back. But for now it looks fine to me.
I relocated the rear indicators to on top of the rear shox. Just making some simple brackets finishes them off rather well.
Over all, I think to finish this bike off, I'm looking into a megaphone exhaust. And probably heat wrapping the down pipe to hide the old pipe. ____________________ Offerings to the God of speed. |

I have little to say apart from "Interesting Thread is Interesting"
I admit I also thought you planned on riding rawdog on the sandpaper seat. ____________________ The above post is most likely nonsensical.

That really is a nice job, and actually still ridable. 95% done, just the other 50% to do. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
