Hi all, just sold my VFR and was hoping to get into some off road and green laning over the winter.

Problem is my budget after selling the VFR is only about £1200. Now going that I just sold my bike for that much there are plenty of road bikes well under that price. However I can't for the life of me find anything under £1500 for an enduro?

Are the prices of Enduro's just that much more? Does £1000-1200 get you anything? Spent the last 3 weeks scouring ebay, gumtree, mcn and biketrader and nothing seems to be coming up. Or is it like opposite of road biking spring time where all the prices shoot up now that off roading is in season?

I haven't been greenlaning this month, yet. But yeah, greenlining is more popular in the winter with some people.

Does seem to be very few suitable bikes about for less than £1,500

Keep any eye on the for sale section here, I sold a member an XR250 that I knackered the engine on for £350 once, and he fixed it up no bother.

Also, keep any eye on the for sale section on the TRF website, now and again bikes in your price range do appear there;

https://www.trf.org.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=110&sid=1aa7453d907da191c6c49e3b914b4527

I had a quick scan through the first one and half pages and couldn't see anything under £1800 though.

Will check that dealer out thanks! A DRZ400e would be my ideal off roader at the mo!

£1700 asking price for an EC 300 here and a CRM 250 Mk2 up at £1600:
https://www.enduronews.com/forsale.htm

£1750 asking price for a WR400:
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222339637286

It seems there's pretty limited availability; guessing it's now too late for people trying to get some quick cash for Christmas.

Gumtree lists 5 KTM EXCs under £1500.

Though, I have got a couple of EXC's sitting neglected in storage myself Whistle.

Yeah seems there's a bit about, but all starting at around £1500.

Dont suppose one of those EXC's is only worth £1200 to you is it? Wink

Where do you normally ride? I don't have anyone to ride with near me really and I don't think you are all that far away from Warwick, are you? Just a thought.

I live in Bedford. I normally ride in Beds, Cambs, Northants, Herts and Essex.

Sometimes I get over as far as Oxon, or Lincs.

Today I rode 45 minutes to Bassingbourne then a bunch of us rode to Newport in Essex, about 90 miles round trip, most of it byways.

Loads of good lanes in Essex as far as I'm aware! Some right by me as well which so sooner I'm back on two wheels the better!
