Hi,

Has anyone done one of those short holiday breaks with a cabin and a hot tub?

Thinking of booking a short break for me and the Mrs, I'll make it her Christmas present but go in the new year,
She wants a hot tub at home but I don't fancy wasting the money

Any website recommendations?
I am doing abit of Googling at the moment but if anyone has had a good experience with a provider please let me know

Cheers

If you give me monies you can sit in my bath.
I'll provide hot water and an air pump for bubbles.

"Forest Holidays" a few years back had some good deals on breaks in Winter, outside of the usual holiday periods. The prices did start to rise though, from 250 for 4 nights to 300, so might be more now.

For that you had the ping pong diddly log cabin with underfloor heating and a hot tub for 4 nights in the week. They have places in Cornwall, forest of dean and Scotland. Might be worth a try?

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check the sites out

I think it would make a nice break,
I was abit cautious of using random websites as I didn't want to get Rainpal'd

Go for a weekend break in Iceland.

Iceland being somewhat famous for its geothermal springs. The blue Lagoon being the most famous but there are others.

Probably cheaper than hiring some crappy cabin in a village of other crappy cabins so you can sit inside and watch it pissing it down on your hot tub.

Good chance of seeing the Northern Lights this time of year too.

Thats impressive for a 25 year old.

I can appreciate that you've been a wanker for most of your life but you haven't been married to your right hand for that long.

Whenever I see a hot tub I think, sexfluid/bumjuice/drool/armpitsweat/straypube soup. Sick

No thanks. Might she prefer 5* suite, champagne, shopping? Mr. Green

I'm sure asking for a hot tub break is a cry for help. It's that or a euphemism for adult sex party.

We did the Forest Holidays site on Loch Long.

The lodge was clean, tidy, spacious, and in good condition. It was perfectly placed with views over the Loch and the hot tub was steaming hot.

Expensive, but we went with 2 other couples so it spread the cost of the week out.

Would recommend, but obviously if you aren't up that way its a loooooonnnnngggg drive.

Thumbs Up

This is the best idea, however I doubt it will be cheaper.

most (decent places anyway) empty clean and disinfect between guests, they also warn that certain certain activities will result in penalty charges... guessing if they find a load of nut snot in the filter you'll find some extra charges on your card Sick

only been to one I think it was called leycroft valley near perranporth, was decent as our lodge was very secluded and away from noise and kids

Yep, plus it's quite expensive to get into the Blue Lagoon and you need to get there as it's outside of Reykjavik (pretty much right next to the airport in Keflavik).

If you want to go find some springs to sit in then you will need to drive there. It's free to do, but no amenities around you.

Source: done both

Either way, it will be a million times better than a fuck bunker and pool!

We stayed here: https://www.glenbeag.co.uk/

Was nice.

No affiliation, other than having stayed there once.

Don't wear any jewellery in the hot tub.

I might not even do this for Christmas,

Might just get her a pair of slippers, got her a new vacuum yesterday,
She had a play with it for abit and then thought I was joking when I said shall I wrap it up,

I will do the cabin thing eventually, it's more the idea of being secluded and away from the noise that I would like
