Hello all,
Long time lurker Wink
Gleaned some very good advice from this forum in the past, and as I'm now progressing nicely with acquiring my full licence I thought it was time to register and join in with the biking community.

I can recommend you a product for cleaning your visor in the rain? Laughing

jokes aside, what are you riding at the moment, you seem to have similar terrible timing in taking your lessons/tests as me for deepest darkest winter

Ayup I've been rumbled I tell thee! Laughing
Originally from Yorkshire, now living in't Northwest (I'll be the guy carrying a Whippet under my arm Wink )
Recently passed CBT and theory, decided to buy a very cheap 125 to gain road experience as the weather is closing in now so probably not the best time of year to be doing a DAS course, might wait until next year now but see how things go.

Welcome, fellow northerner. Thumbs Up

Aye, you're probably best sticking with your 125 until the weather improves. Road conditions are not favourable at this time of year and you wouldn't want to be sliding down the road and damaging your new pride and joy.

If you use your bike for commuting, you may want to consider keeping hold of the tiddler to use as a winter hack. An option that I wish I had when riding to work this morning. I think I prayed to every known diety and even some unknown ones while riding through hail covered roads first thing. Thankfully, it worked. Praying My sphincter was exceptionally tight though.

Cheers Dave.
Yup I think you may be right there!
I was riding to my mates on Sunday when a guy in an Astra with a trailer pulled out on me, I don't mind admitting a little bit of poo might have come out Shocked
First of many, I might as well get used to it Laughing

Oh, the fun we have. Sure, a cheap 125 over the winter makes sense. If you want to keep the rust monster at bay, ACF-50 does a decent job. Keeping Astraman from pulling out on you is a bit trickier, but I go with adding strips of LED lights plus the SMIDSY weave.

I have changed most of the bulbs for LED's apart from the Stop/Tail bulb because I can't find one that's bright enough.
Most of the LED stop/tail bulbs on the market simply don't have a sufficient Lumen output compared to the filament bulbs.
If anyone has any tried and tested suggestions I would be grateful Thumbs Up
I do have a Hi/Lo HID kit on order though which I hope should improve things somewhat.

Best getting the test done during winter.......it'll stop you being a summer only Powah ranger and you'll find motorbike deals are good early doors around March.

Fair point, but I'm absolutely not going to be a summer only rider Laughing
Don't fancy shelling out all this cash on my licence to only use it 8 weeks a year in this country Wink
