Heya,

Very happy with recently purchased T plate Fazer (even though it looks like someone dropped a coffin on the fuel tank) - but very minor niggle, which is the throttle grip wobbles slightly and it takes about 5ml of movement before I can feel the throttle cable catch.

Any ideas on how to make it feel tighter. The throttle grip. How to make the throttle grip feel tighter.

Many thanks.

Gracie

sounds like the throttle cable has streched , not sure if its adjustable but you should be able to fit a new cable available from your local yamaha dealer for about £12 .Should be easy enough to fit and if you don`t own a haynes manual buy one Very Happy

No need for a new cable unless the inner strands are coming apart. There should be some sort of adjustment either at the twistgrip or the carb end. Aim for 1 - 2mm of freeplay. If it is a push-pull arrangement with 2 cables make sure there is free play in both. With the throttle fully closed there should be freeplay in the opening cable, by opening the throttle to just take up the opener play there should then be a similar amount amount of freeplay in the closer cable.
