The then Prime Minister David Cameron promised a referendum on EU membership as early as Jan 23 2013. Are we to believe the EU wouldn't make preparations in the event of a decision to leave the EU by the British public?

Is this really the level of debate we're aspiring to?

You've been exposed as lying, so I'm guessing its a rhetorical question Wink

Just another one who comes in hinting that they support Brexit, only to then go on to constantly hammer it (with a very small hammer Laughing ). I don't know about others, but I instantly dismiss people who try that tired old tactic.

Give us some new arguments at least? The old ones aren't working Wink

Inb4 hume turns into yet another Remainer screeching looney.

I agree with Jones on this. One of the reasons i moved from remain to leave was the hystetical way remainers indulged in strawman s#ite to convince themselves to be pro remain.

Scuse me for being a pedantic leftie but Nazism by default required concentration camps whereas Marxism does not require Gulags.

It wasn't Karl Marx who sent loads to the Gulags but Stalin.

It was the doctrines that led to the actions of the personalities. Wherever Marxists have had power, with Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin, the result has been the same. Murder on a massive scale. And don't try to tell me Lenin was a fluffy hippie either.

They believed the same thing: the individual doesn't count, just as the latest incarnation of identity politics paints it - that the group is all that matters. You'd think the horrors of the 20th century were a thousand years ago Rolling Eyes

It must be difficult for Bannons minions to come to terms with the reality that Scrat's butt sticks out.

Subbuteo Cliff Richard - does he come with the rest of the Shadows, so they can get up a 5-A-Side team?

Cameron speaks now because he has a book coming out, perfectly timed to put all the blame on Boris. What a bunch!

To be fair to him, he correctly realised that a referendum was what was wanted, what he got wrong was the expected outcome.

He got a lot of stick for stepping down immediately, but he obviously didn't agree with the result and effectively admitted he wasn't the man to drive it through - having completely resigned his position, it wasn't his fault the Tories decided to elect another remainer as his replacement.

I suppose he could've thrown his weight behind Boris the first time around, but then he wouldn't have been backing his own belief.
