Tremendous news that Jeremy Hunt is no longer in charge of the NHS. Sadly his replacement is Matt Hancock, as useless as Sajid Javid. Where are the statesmen these days?

The UK is, categorically, not the biggest buyer in Europe
It quite clearly, states that in the sales figures, I linked to, that:-

Quote:
Germany had approximately 1.01 billion sales and had the biggest sales of Europe.

When we leave the single market Philips Group simply farms out UK production to one of it's manufacturing facilities in either France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal or Sweden.

Also being a net importer just means we are weak and needy.

And all of those plants are not in the U.K. are they?

I suspect, if you look past project fear, many firms will actually move production for the U.K. market, to the U.K. once they can no longer make it cheaper abroad and import it with no tariffs.

Think about it for a minute before reeling out the usual tired Remain propaganda.

Remoaners love to talk about jobs moving to the EU post Brexit, and they might have more of a point if our industry hadn't been completely gutted by EU membership with production moving to Eastern Europe, and things like steel and aluminium being forced to India by insane energy prices.

Righto. So EU subsidies and cheap labour are nothing to do with U.K. manufacturing moving to Eastern Europe?

Keep going, you’ll be telling us the Earth is flat next.

Oops, you did it again. You really are the gift that keeps giving Thumbs Up

I don't think EU subsidies had much to do with Japanese cars spelling the end of the British motor industry in the late 70's to early 80's.

Neither do I. Contrary to what you'd like to believe to fit your agenda again, Japanese cars were nowhere near the top of the sales charts in the 70's and 80's in the UK.

And he gives again while not understanding anything about the British Motor Industry Thumbs Up

I wouldn't get your hopes too high if I were you. The Tory faragists know very well that they have no workable plan.

Are you guessing this or do you have anything remotely accurate to back this up?

I provided a link for you, I even quoted from it, but apparently that's not good enough.

As far as Philips Group is concerned, total EU sales are just lumped in with the "other countries" bracket, sales are that small. Their biggest markets are the US, China and India. US sales alone are greater than all those in the "other countries" bracket!

Incidentally, on our actual Brexit supremo, May's unelected, unaccountable catspaw Olly Robbins, if you scratch his Oxford PPE graduate blue surface, it turns out that he's a gammon pinko underneath.

I would never disagree that some of the deeds done in the name of communism were evil, BUT...

To the thinking man and woman, Soviet Russia may not have been ideal, BUT...

OK, chap. I don't think you should be first against the wall when the revolution comes, but...
