Well, thanks for joining in the debate. It's been ever so valuable.

Something for the townies to look at on their 5 hours off at the weekend before going back to slavery for the state

On this note. The EU have this thing called ETIAS

https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/etias/

It's been implemented slowly but it could well mean that the UK becomes a third country and thus subject to ETIAS. ETIAS might be like the US system where even trivial criminal records and offences can prevent you from travelling.

Of course we don't know the final deal (if there is even to be one) and it may be that the UK can get an opt out from ETIAS (in return for some other concession of course). However if ETIAS is applied and it works just like the US system (ESTA) and most criminal convictions will prevent you from travelling, even relatively trivial and old ones.

Though you can still travel with a criminal record in the US. You just need to get a visa as the ESTA application will deny you at the first try and you will have an interview at the Embassy before you are able to travel to the US.

Obviously going to prison for serious crimes will not be allowed however applications with petty crime that was commited years ago can be approved with the right evidence.

Will benefit our haulage firms more if we reciprocate I would think. How many foreign lorries on our roads compared with Brit lorries abroard?

Thus my usual "funny" rating.

Although the thought of us actually putting anything in place to charge Nardo and his articulated fugee bus is also fairly mirthsome.

Nothing about Farage wanting a second referendum to 'make certain that everyone votes Leave'. When we all know it would be a Remain vote next time.

"make certain that everyone votes Leave"

Or more accurately:

Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage says he is close to backing a second EU referendum to end the "whinging and whining" of anti-Brexit campaigners.

Mr Farage told Channel 5's The Wright Stuff a fresh vote could "kill off" the Remain campaign for a generation.

He said "the percentage that would vote to leave next time would be very much bigger than it was last time round".

Pro-EU campaigners welcomed his comment, claiming "support is growing" for another referendum.

And co-founder of the Leave.EU referendum campaign group, Arron Banks, said that to avoid sleepwalking "into a faux Brexit" people should "go back the polls and let the people shout from the rooftops their support of a true Brexit".

But Mr Farage's former UKIP colleagues dismissed his suggestion.

And Downing Street said: "We will not be having a second referendum."

Well no, it's just that if you cease to be a member of a club then you can't demand perks that you had of this club so it's not punishment it's just the way things are.

BBC pitching it with the line, "Is Nigel Farage feeling Bregret?" Laughing Rolling Eyes

I've been quite proud of the fact that unlike other countries Britain hasn't had to endure further referendums until we gave the "right" answer. There's still time I suppose.

Who will lead Remain?
Boris Johnson. He will see which way the wind is blowing and gallantly put the country''s need in front of his own personal politics.
Then when he's loved again he can be P.M.
No one believes in anything , just what will get them elected.
Leading Leave didn't work.. time for another go.

Because they will be the one on tv everyday trying to sell remaining, and seeing as it's only the arseholes of politics that want to try and remain, it's not going to work well is it?
