You lost. Move on. |

Your “ideological side”?! Couldn’t be arsed to vote then, but now you have an opinion?

Can you not see the hypocrisy in that? |
Again, I'm at a loss. That is just noise, you are not saying anything of substance to me.
Let me ask you something and it is not a gotcha. Do you believe that the way someone voted or the abstinence of said vote reflects in anyway on the validity or soundness of an argument as presented by said person?
Or another way, if Jean Claude Juncker whatever his name is was to present an argument for or against, does the fact he presented it make it invalid or unsound? |
Yes. You couldn’t be arsed to climb out of bed to vote, so therefore your opinion is worthless.
You’re being very hypocritical. If the subject bothers you that much, maybe you should have got off your arse and voted when you had a say in it, not by demanding a say after the event, in the form of a second referendum?

Here lies your problem Val. You get all of your political "fact" from the Guardian.
It's designed to appeal to EU loving, champagne socialists, with a serious case of extreme virtue signalling. It's no better than the Daily Mail.
Have you not noticed how nearly all newspaper links backing up Remaon on here are always from The Guardian?
It's biased as hell, much like the radio news I get to hear on the hour on Absolute. Yesterday's headline was about the Labour shadow Brexit minister getting a standing ovation for his speech on offering a second referendum including the option to piss on the democratic majority and overturn their referendum.
Errr, yep, this was at the Labour Party Conference dear, they're not going to boo him off the fucking stage are they?!
Just been on now, as I type this. Today's pro Labour propaganda and the opening headline on the hourly news is "Labour's leader says they are going to give away more free money to families and create loads of extra jobs".
It's relentless. It's every day. It's every hour. It's always the opening "news" headline. This also happens on the local BBC and even the local ITV news shows on TV now. Every day on ITV Meridian, there's one Liberal sob story about a disabled person, a Project Fear story about how the world will end if we leave the EU, a pro Labour story, a pro immigration story and a dig at Tory cuts, usually to do with education, policing or healthcare. There is no actual local news anymore.
This show won an ward last year. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

This is the topic that keep on giving... MDP of course you will come across elements of the media that you perceive to be biased - they will be all the elements that don't agree with your viewpoint.
I imagine the only mainstream newspaper you don't think is biased is the Daily Mail, whose target readership is age 50 and above middle-England conservatives.
It is a big world out there - don't fall into the trap of thinking that the only way to see it is through angry, reactionary glasses. Give a little respect and you'll get some back. ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

But these "elements" of the media are now becoming so obviously anti Brexit, that it's embarrassing. These are not the clearly biased Daily Mail's or Guardian's of this world, these are national radio and TV stations, all of which should be impartial. They're fare from it and this shift is getting stronger by the week.
Diggs wrote: | I imagine the only mainstream newspaper you don't think is biased is the Daily Mail, whose target readership is age 50 and above middle-England conservatives. |
You imagine wrong. The Daily Mail is as embarrassing as The Guardian. I imagine you think The Guardian has no agenda?
Diggs wrote: | It is a big world out there - don't fall into the trap of thinking that the only way to see it is through angry, reactionary glasses. Give a little respect and you'll get some back. |
Oh come on. The opening news headline on a national radio station, being that "shadow Brexit minister gave a speech to a standing ovation, highlighting that labour will give a second referendum with an option to remain in the EU ", without actually saying this was at the labour party Conference. It's out and out propaganda.
That's not seeing things through angry, reactionary glasses, that's blatant propaganda. Dressing up the idea of a second chance to overturn Brexit is a great and hugely popular idea, with the population as a whole, is so blatant, it's cringy. If you can't see that, you're dafter than you come across.
Do you really listen to the daily project fear bullshit and lap it up as fact? I mean really? ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

Be glad. Don't you suffer from news overkill sometimes? I do. In fact, most of the time I can't be arsed with it all. Doom and gloom, gloom and doom, and that was before Brexit.
Not like anything I do or say will affect it anyway, and no one is representing me. I have to agree with mpd72 about media bias, which is why I ridiculed the BBC article about a Brexit pet travel warning. It's relentless propaganda.

The problem is, I listen to the radio nearly all day. I avoid TV news as much as possible, but like live radio in the background as I work.
Having the same 2 or 3 propaganda stories and no real news, every hour, on the hour, becomes pretty tiresome lately. As does the clear token placement going on in advertising of late.
Over the top aggressive "inclusive" Liberalism is spiralling out of control now. The growing number of letters being added to LGBTQIAPK+ is a perfect example.
Everyone is one now "included" in modern Left wing Liberalism, other than straight white males, or Jews, who are now frowned upon as racist, sexist pigs.
More "victims" of society are being invented every month, such as "period" poverty. A tampon is five fucking pence, who the fuck can't afford 20p's worth of tampons, 3 days a month? If kids are using that as an excuse to bunk off school, they're pulling the wool over your eyes. Everyone is a fucking downtrodden victim now in modern lefty politics, from Palestinians to the % of the UK who live in the bottom 40% of median income. I probably live in this bracket and cut my cloth accordingly, rather than spunking money on fags and Sky Sports.
Even the use of over the top "Black" accents in radio adverts is taking over now. I think it's KFC who's advert is so openly spoken so you know the person should be black, with their "Narn Narnety Narn" price of the latest deal. How very inclusive. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

MPD we agree on one thing. The overuse of 'young urban black' chaps spouting street poetry on everything from aftershave adverts to the FA Cup is beginning to get on my nerves too. I'm sure it's just a fashion thing though and it will go away along with grey-on-grey and man-bags.
I can understand why you are getting fed up with the media showing people who don't agree with Brexit - lots of people don't and with the exception of Boris (who has gone quiet pre-leadership challenge), the rest of them aren't newsworthy. Who wants to listen to Michael Gove ffs.
As for me lapping up 'project fear' propaganda, I like to think that I can see past the bullshit. It just happens that I think the Brexit idea is daft and that it will cause more harm than good to everybody in Britain - all for the sake of an attempted further term as PM for Cameron...
You are entitled to your views as am I, but don't get personal with somebody you don't know on the internet because it makes you look a tad foolish. ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M
