Well, even if that figure is accurate and reflects those who voted in the refeerendum, it's a lot less than 17+ million.

I'm glad you have abandoned your nonsensical claim about "2 million marchers", by the way. Well done.

Brexiters spending days wanging on about numbers on the march last weekend suggests it has properly freaked the shit out of you mate

Not me "mate". You seem very poorly informed, even for a troll. I'm just enlightening you.

Only 5,763,282? I thought it would be 10 million by now.

Is Val a troll?

Yup. She's not a good one, though. I only answer her to correct her imagined "facts". No point in discussing things with her, would not make a difference.

Is Val female? I thought Val was male despite the female name?
I'm confused.

No idea. Seems female, though. Maybe not. Val isn't a common male name. I don't think it's worth worrying about either way.

Val Kilmer?

Shortening of Valentine, which is surprisingly common, particularly if you have some Irish roots (I had a doctor called Valentine, who, for some reason, used his initials on his door plaque - Dr VD Radcliffe)

Also short for Valery(i) very common if you come from France or Eastern Europe; I believe Val hails from Bulgaria.

Finally! Sense from Mogg. I do hope that he can influence others to support "the deal" too, and we can leave.

I don't think he'd like another vote, right? He's not so fond of repeated votes it seems.

"Government rejects petition to ‘cancel Brexit’ signed by 5.8 million people

MPs will debate the petition but government says stopping Brexit would ‘break promises’"

Oops.

As expected.

The Boaty McBoatface vote wasn't listened to and anyone thinking an obviously spambotted to f*ck online petition was going to be listened to are living a dream.

They aren't listening to 17 million people in a proper vote so what chance does a 'sop to the people' joke vote have.

All that proves is there a 5,000,000+ stupid people that think someone in power actually gives a fcuk about their opinions.

Note. I'm not implying for a second that all supporters of Brexit are like this bunch, but one can see how the media can easily portray Brexiteers as Carling and coke-fuelled chaps out for a fight rather than 'ordinary' protesters out to make a point.

Because the Remain supporting far left never kick off do they?
Not like Al Beeb would report it as they’re too desperate to demonise the right instead.

When we had the protests in Dover, it was the militant yogurt weavers who caused all the violence and damaged property.

You ommitted to quote what I said afterwards...

I can see that because as we all know the media chooses to present us gullible public with images to suit its own purposes. If the media decides to report that either side are causing trouble, it isn't going to show pictures of nuns holding pansies, ordinary people peacefully protesting etc. It will show this lot plus Antifa throwing street-furniture at each other and attacking the police.

It is relevant to this thread because this lot have been asked to attend the demonstrations on the 29th and will doubtless be met by people who disagree with their views, some of them equally fuelled with Carling and marching powder, plus probably a bit of hummus...

So you've just said his post is bullshit, then agreed with precisely what he said.

Can I have your dealers number?

This petition is a hoot. If it reaches a certain number, it has to be debated in Parliament, or some such? That's kind of the function of these petitions? Can anyone think of anything other than Brexit being debated in parliament in the last 3 years? Laughing

The petition just calls for a debate in the Parliament which will take place on April 1st. It does not propose legislation.

Excellent choice of date for it! Laughing

Didn't Boris buy some fire engines for crowd control or something? Did they vanish or are they being warmed up as we speak?

Anyone have friends in the army? I'm just wondering if their leave is cancelled and they're being fitted with police uniforms but without numbers..

The Tories do have form for this, although it has never been officially admitted....
