I heard a rumour at my local Yamaha dealer.

Price increase at least on the Tracer and MT range of £450.

Sadly, little by way of 2016 stock lying about so if you are thinking about buying, don't dither - at least on models with no significant changes for 2017.

When I enquired about a tracer I was told:

'We currently have one Tracer 900 left in stock in Race Blue, this is the last of the 2016 models and the on the road price is £8286, the 2017 models are going to be at a higher price of £8836'.

Slightly miffed as I was planning on buying a tracer next year. Crying or Very sad

I suppose it all depends on how well they sell. If there are ones hanging around the dealers you might get a bit of a discount.

Still gonna be some deals to be had even with a price increase.

I'm torn on the tracer vs tiger 80p XRx big time. Although where I'm living now seems to be severely lacking dealerships. (West Scotland).

most ducati's go up 1st January, plus all the parts, clothing and accessories around 5%

scrambler 400 will be close to £7k, and they wonder why dealers are selling them below cost

My Yamaha dealership told me 2017 will be the start of the branding change from MT Tracer, to just Tracer.
MT09 Tracer will become the Tracer 900.
Otherwise nout is changing.

My Stealer said the 2017 MT-09 is £7799 which is up £470 ish but includes ABS Quickshifter and Slipper Clutch as standard. I've got my name down for a demo

They're not really selling them at all. Just 54 up to Q3 this year, and sales are already trailing off (22 in Q1, 19 in Q2, 14 in Q3). It's hard to see why they're bothering.

Which is ironic given that is the best part of Britain I have ever ridden.
