BMW 530i SE, £750 to BCF, S Wales, NOW WITH ADDED STEREO

I bought this car well over a year ago when I needed an automatic in a hurry after breaking my wrist. It was only supposed to be for a few weeks, but I liked it so much that I've ended up keeping it for a good while!

This car is quiet, comfy and refined. It'll cruise all day at any speed without complaint; but put it into Sport and squeeze and it'll pick up its skirts and fly. It's easy to find a comfortable driving position as the seat is height and even tilt adjustable along with the usual and the steering wheel adjusts for height and reach.

I fitted Michelin CrossClimates all round; there's lots of tread on them still.

The windscreen was replaced recently, the aircon blows icy cold, the gearbox has no problems in reverse (which is important to check with these cars). It doesn't seem to suffer from the infamous "E39 shimmy". There are 2 green lights before the next service is due.

The stereo fitting has been converted to take a single DIN head unit, and still allow the MID to be fitted. The original stereo and CD changer are supplied, but untested.

Work done since I've had it:
Aux fan replaced;
headlight adjusters replaced;
LED angel eyes;
ABS module repaired;
fan speed hedgehog replaced;
dash and MID pixel repairs done;
boot flexi wiring repaired.


As you can see, I've sorted many of the regular E39 problems and with a long MOT and 4 very good tyres, this car is ready to drive away and enjoy.
