A mate has asked me to replace the bearing on the output shaft of a 91 GSXR750 engine. Never done one so was just wondering if anyone on here has?

Is the bearing pressed onto the shaft?
Do I need to strip the top end to get to any hidden bolts?

Done plenty of top ends on 2 and 4 strokes but only ever been inside 2 gearboxes.

Thanks for any input.

Most Suzuki 4's you can strip the bottom case off without striping the top end, I should think you could with the oil boiler. You might have to press it lightly to remove but there should be no great mystery. Ease the case off and take note the orientation of stuff like the selector forks.
