The issue isn't that you were in the wrong lane, but you failed to spot the driver you were cutting across.

He was just doing his thing, not changing lane, just moving as he should.
You were cutting across his lane to exit, so the onus is on you to ensure that route is safe.

Fair enough, I'll have to wait and see how the insurance companies deal with it.

Cheers

Were you indicating to come off at that exit?

I would refer to the phrase of "no point being dead right".

Poor obs. On your part.

That is the correct lane to exit into the right hand lane.

Debatably.

The lane markings are piss poor, but I can't help but notice that you crossed a lane divider while the car driver did not.

And like arguing with an SJW, the facts don't really matter so much as who gets in the first sucker punch.

I reckon you'll be lucky to get 50:50 out of that.

coming home from work along road, go to filter past car and she turns right into a no entry side road and hits me. Luckily didn't fall off the bike but still dropped it and damaged both sides. Lets hope she pays up with cash, damag is scuffed fairing both sides, scuffed bar end and bent brake pedal.

Costed it up? I expect when she sees the bill, it'll be a case of "Never happened, plus you come out of nowhere and hit me at 100mph".

Got lid-cam / CCTV / witnesses?

Not sure on CCTV but have a witnesses number. Bill wont be nice for her, 2 side panels at 163+vat along with brake lever so will be around £400.

I'd call or txt or email that witness now, thank them for their help, and ask them to pretty please agree to a statement of the following facts (send facts).

Reckon they'll respond to a 50 page questionnaire from an insurer in 3 or 4 months time?

Bear in mind that Pol got spazzed by his own missus and she's now arguing the toss even though it's not a sliver of skin off of her lumpy peasantish nose.

It's your lucky day, your accident did not really happen. It happens when you number the fucking thing.

What part of 'counter' is it that you dumb fucks struggle with. Year after fucking year I have to sort this out. It is getting to the point that I just let this go and then what will happen. Carnage. Carnage will happen.

Met her today and she paid up no questions asked, surprised it all went so smoothly.

Result, no insurance claim, which are notoriously dodgy when the evil act of filtering's involved.

+1 to the counter, my first crash in 4 years of riding. Spent most of the night in A&E with dislocated shoulder.

I was sat in lane 3 of the roundabout (town centre), turning right, car in lane 2 (clearly marked ahead only), right before their exit they change their mind and swing across into my lane, clip my front wheel and I lowside it and land on my shoulder hard. They stop, look at me lying in the road, then drive off. Cunts.

Happened right outside a police station so had half of Croydon plod turn up to help and take statements.

Fazer looked like a write off, smashed up the entire right side of the bike, snapped the exhaust off, tank caved in etc etc.

Obligatory paint diagram.

yellow is my path. green is whaty they should have done, red is what they actually did.

Got it all on helmet camera too, got their number plate and passing it to plod.
