Looking for a 'sympathetic' tester, when it comes to aftermarket cans, for the Striple up this way, anyone know of somewhere? It might pass anyway, but have my doubts and would like an alternative place to go if it doesn't. The can on it has a baffle, but it doesn't do much, and I really don't want to be laying out for a replacement if I can help it. Everything else on the bike appears to be sweet as. Ta.

Yeah, little bit further than I want to go. Thanks for the sentiment though. I have been pointed to a couple of nearer ones now.

If you can be bothered traveling to Lancaster, Howard's are a guaranteed pass.

They only MOT so no incentive to fail.

Appletons, King St, will do a motorcycle MOT at short notice and good blokes, phone 515700. It's where I get mine done.

That's the car place isn't it? That's where J&Ls said to take my Fazer to, which they passed no problems, but the Striple is much noisier, and I thought being mainly a car place...?

My MOT tester charges £10 to "turn his hearing aid off". Bit further south than Lancaster though but just about in the same county!

Yes, they repair cars but not bikes so no incentive to fail bikes. I've never had a problem passing my last three or four bikes in spite of a couple of marginal calls. There would be no harm in popping down there and sounding them out, they're bikers themselves and very approachable.

Probably will give them a go with the Striple as well then, as they're just along the road from me. They look after my car too, and they do seem like a good bunch. Ta.
