It was shot handheld, did not pack my tripod so did not bother bracket shooting. It's hard to tell but was shooting into the sun do was always going to be more of a silhouette.

I went there to fly my drone to get some practice but it was too windy so just walked about hand shooting.

Took at look here as fb fecks the image up.

I was going to say you could try putting the aperture to a high number (f22) and getting stars from the lights, then I saw it was with a phantom 3, maybe not.

Aha will remember to pack wipes next time lol.

Went to Grimwith Reservoir on Monday, on the south-east edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Incredibly foggy, made for an interesting experience.

Not exactly super-duper photography but worth a share just for showing the environment I think.

The large structure is the excess water outlet. At other times of the year the water level goes right up to the edge of the round part which is a good 100ft deep.

This one doesn't really class as 'photography' at all but I want to show the enormity and depth of this water outlet.

LoL lets be honest here how many backpacks carrying systems do you have.

I have went through a fair amount, more than i would like to admit.

However below is what im currently using.

Whistler BP 450 AW

What i like is i can take the bag off stick lay it down on wet / muddy / snowy ground and not have to worry about it. The bag oppens on the backprotector area which is much prefer when outdoors in shit weather.

I can carry food on the top pouch and i can carry waterproof gloves / Laptop if i must.

Cons

Its pretty narrow could have done with being a couple of inches wider.
You will notice no lens hoods shown in the photos.
Expensive

https://www.mountainlifemedia.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Lowprogear2.jpg

Thinktank Street Walker Pro

What i like about this is its a slim bag but pretty flexible, i tend to use it to carry two bodies and two lenses ie Canon 6d + 24-105 / Canon 5dsr 70-200 and extender.

Cons
Needs a rain cover if your going to be in the bad weather, opens like conventional bag.

https://static.bhphoto.com/images/images750x750/1415136910000_847282.jpg

Thinktank Harness System

I love this for event shooting when you want to quickly access different cameras, and different lenses there and then. I also use this if im using the motorbike to get around events.

Cons

You look like a twat, not good for hill walking.

Far too many Shocked

Still have a manfrotto stile shoulder thing. Which I like if I need a shoulder back but tbh barely use, I have a flip side 300 which is great, like you I like to plonk it on floor without getting straps wet, it is far too small mind - so karma goes to you for the whistler as that's what i'm after, might sell a few to fund it. My main bag at the mo is a kata bumblebee, not my favourite as can't get rear access but it is the only one big enough for a full load of gear and is built extremely well - this may go for that one you showed. Also have a cheap mob which looked to fit the bill but ended up being small, not worth returning as postage is about a third of the cost so will take a loss on that and sell with tags.

I need one bag to rule them all Laughing

None, I have a small shoulder bag I use which fits nearly all my stuff.
As I use mft I tend to what I want in my pockets if I'm wearing a jacket anyway

New camera this year.

Still a point and shoot. Still waterproof. Nikon coolpix S33.

Only had one real outing in anger so far.

One handed, no sight of the viewfinder while sitting in a boat on choppy water.

https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f216/stinkwheel/canoe%202017/DSCN0057.jpg

Always liked the colour reproduction and crispness of Nikon compacts.

I honestly think it would be pretty close to the perfect bag if it was made wide enough to hold the lenses and hoods, i have to use a space to store the lens hoods separate, was close to sending it back for that as its a bloody expensive bag. The build quality is very good and it really is drop it in the mud and then wipe it off, some of the bags are textured so the mud and crap sticks to it, this is pretty easy to clean. I used to like the Tamrac Expedition bags for carrying all my gear, i thought thick padded straps are needed, but this bag the straps are pretty thin but is pretty comfortable to carry.

Sometimes you get lucky with a shot. This just came out of my action cam which is set to take a picture every couple of minutes if it's not filming. Heading up the Upper Derwent River.

I've had a lowepro magnum 400AW for a few months now.As I was getting fed up having 2 or 3 bags for wedding work! Holds 2 full frame body's with 70-200ii is f2.8 and 27-70 2.8 or 24-105 f4 on the bodies..couple of speedlights and triggers, prime lenses and a full days worth of cards and battery's (removable pouch!)with space for an ipad and walkie talkies etc and I can even fit my godox ad360 and battery in it with room to spare!! Not the kind of bag you'd go tracking up mountains with but the shoulder strap is comfortable for a half mile walk for location work and it's waterproof cover is a bonus when you have to work in the rain Smile It's a big bonus having just the 1 bag for everything bar lighting kit and the top is big enough to fit a pop up reflector too Smile I get about 5 years use out of lowepro stuff before I replace it and that's more because it want a change or its just looking tired rather than its worn out or broken.
