'99 Yamaha R1

For sale is my 1999 Yamaha R1. I have owned it for around 3 years and its been trouble free. Sadly its hardly getting any use and now we have another baby on the way, I need to turn it into cash.

I had all the documents, but sadly these got lost in the last house move, so it's just the V5 and what is available online.

Mileage is 16000. Service history was up to date when I bought it and I've done all the servicing myself since. Currently MOT'd until Aug I believe.

It comes with a Remus exhaust / end can. It's certainly a quick bike and the old carb'd version for those unfamiliar.

Its a tidy enough bike for the age, in fact it scrubs up pretty well so some spit and polish.

Tyres are brand new, about 200 miles on them.

Sadly there are some bad points, the last 3 pics show them:

It fell over on the drive when the front wheel was facing the wrong way when I took it of the abba stand. So there is a scratch on the side fairing and there is a small crack by the right indicator. See pic 4 and 6.

Pic 5 shows some scratches on the tank made by the metal knee cover on my textiles.

Not exactly a project bike, just needs some minor TLC here and there.
