InB4 "now the learning really begins". Wink

Enjoy the bike, try not to get too caught up in chasing the revs.

It's a good run that. You can ride back across the A65 to Ingleton Falls and then on to Skipton. It's a good run for beginners, not too twisty. Nice roads just to get a feel for the bike. I went to Devil's bridge on a Sunday, there were around 100 bikes and the snack bar was open. Plenty of bikes to drool over!

That would last about all of 5 minutes until you start feeling confident.

Hi, as a long-term lurker myself just wanted to say well done for persevering Thumbs Up

Due for my first attempt at the Mod 1 this Friday (gulp) Smile

good luck! i can only say from my own experiences that mod 1 feels very, binary - pass or fail (i think somoene else has said this too), and there is little to no room for errors. Take your time before each segment and you should be ok!

Took your advise, took my time, and took a deep breath between each element, passed my Mod 1 at Wakefield today Very Happy
Mod 2 test booked for 31 Jan Very Happy

Good to hear, watch your confidence doesn't exceed your ability as it grows fast.

Have you fitted some crash mushrooms to the bike? Not particularly expensive but will save a fortune should you have a clumsy low speed handling fail.

I haven't had crash bars put on ... I am debating it though.

I kept up with my mates for the most parts, but when they took some corners out of my comfort zone I backed off and caught up later, good thing about being nearly 30 as opposed to 20/21 is I'm a bit more restrained than I would have been if I started at that age :p

Glad you had an enjoyable first ride! It was a lovely day yesterday albeit cold! Did you wear your thermals? Lol. I was stuck at work looking out the window wishing I was off, I'm only jealous!

How does your new bike feel?

Bought some new leathers from j&s , and wore some under armour stuff underneath which worked out well, the only part of me that was cold was my fingers :p. The bike felt great. Crazy power (to me anyway), and the only time I twitched the back wheel was when I gave it a bit too much power on the exit of a sweeping corner, knocked my confidence a bit but was nice to get to the limit ish :p

Ps. working on weekends ugh :p

Glad all is going well! I bet this weather isn't putting you off riding?

I'm itching to get out on mine, it's just a shame about all the road salt! I don't fancy having to clean all the nooks and crannies after a ride.
