It Starts when cold, runs on take over - then once it warms up, it just cuts out and then won't start.

We've changed the carburetor - the vacuum pipes checked and all seems ok.

Prior to changing the carb, the bike wouldn't start at all! It's a complete mystery,! Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!?

Were all the jets clear on the carb you fit?
Sounds like the choke / plunger jet is ok.

At a wild guess, it's got an auto-choke and it's not disengaging.

I'm guessing the plug is sooted up or drenched in fuel?

Sorry, I really know nothing about those scootays - DirectBikes are considered as disposable by their retailer.

I was about to say the same thing, it's probably the auto-choke which is wax based. They can play up, had it before on a scoot.

It's probably this part, but check before ordering, cheap enough and easy to swap. Worth a punt.
