At the risk of sounding really stupid here, I need to ask why do people use the Brapp word when describing the sound of a two stroke dirt bike? In particular it's usually open class MX'ers does that mean a bike has to be over a certain cc to Brapp? Can you describe a 50 or 125cc dirt bike sound with the same word?

I'm totally clueless and would have thought that Brapping is more like a description of the sound a four stroke single makes, not a two smoke. I've heard and understand the expression ring dinger's as thats what you'd expect a two stroke to be described as doing.

But all over YouTube people are Brapping on their bikes and I don't really get it?

And here was me opening this thread in the hope of ISIS-style (well, any style really) executions of bike thieves.

You see I never even knew that young people today use the word Brap to describe gun fire? I assume it's specifically referring to automatic weapons set to fire in continuous bursts?

I suppose the sound of such gun fire is not as alien to many as it would have been 25years ago too.

I'd have used it to describe the noise made by a pre-65 trials bike being ridden up a cliff.
