Do bikers have many things in common other than bikes? What other kind of hobbies and interests do you guys have? As I only ride my bikes for leisure, and not for commuting, I am also into other adrenalin type activities such as snowboarding, skydiving, bungee jumping, surfing, etc. I am always looking for new things to try so would be interested to know what kind of things you guys do other than bikes.

Rock music and sleeping?? Does that count?

I'm not much of an adrenaline junkie (much too sensible) although I do enjoy winsurfing when I can be bothered. Being stranded in a lake sure does get my adrenaline going. Rolling Eyes

I think the main problem is money - if I was rich I'd probably try much more adventurous stuff.

Rock/heavy metal music seems to be a recurring theme amongst bikers. Any of you guys play any instruments? I’m trying to learn to play guitar but it’s soooooooooooooooooooo hard!!

I can kinda play guitar a tiny bit, but strangely enough I prefer to play acoustic stuff (except for the odd Metallica riff).

Get someone to teach you the basics then invest some time in to teaching yourself.

I am boring really, I sleep drink live bikes, supermoto etc etc..

Not really into anything non-bike related but I guess web design is a bit of a hobby I do every now and then..

Otherwise it's just bikes Laughing but do keep looking at proper petrol radio controlled cars like Smoto Bob's.. I've always had the urge to build a petrol hover craft too (radio control one..) but never got around to it.. maybe I will one day Wink

I'm working on it but it's hard to find time isn't it? Will get there in the end though.

Yup, metal for me too. I've played the guitar for years. Although I haven't picked it up in a long time, till recently. I also just bought a really good synthesizer that I'm trying to teach myself. Now that's difficult!

So all we need now is a drumer and singer and we are there!!!

I have been in two Rock bands in my time, one was a school band who are still going now!!!! I was in the band back in 1985....

They are now called, oh dam, huuuum, they are a Nirvana copy band now. We were The Gatecrashers, they became Stone Cold, now they are, ah! Monserat. I think that is the spelling.

Well, other than bikes there is the obvious computer obsession (nothing better than shooting a few Germans in the face to relieve stress), I'm also partial to the odd film too.

I used to play the drums haven't for a long time though (currently live in a flat and I don't think the neighbours would appreciate me taking it up again), I've always been told by my friends and even strangers who've heard me do karaoke (long time ago Wink ) that I should be a singer, but hey...

Funnily enough though I don't think my neighbours would appreciate the drums they've all taken quite an interest in my bike and they love to hear the noise, even though it's only got a road legal exhaust, they're always asking me to rev it and take the kids for a blast around the block on it... I've always had to refuse unfortunately as I don't have a helmet for them but they all love sitting on it and pretending Smile
